A figure, dressed in a leather jacket is sitting on a chair in front of the camera.

"Gutten Abend.
I'm confident, you don't know who I am so I will introduce myself. My name is James Hollywood the Direktor of the Unioners.
Don't ignore this message yet. It might be of use.

We are aware of the battle that you're fighting in Liberty at the moment, however, we are not aware of its status so we have an offer to make since the Direktorat recognizes your cause as a noble one.

You might recall the conflict we had a few years ago in Bering. And you are perhaps aware that there are a few wrecks left from what remains of the conflict. With your approval and a bit of... financial motivation, we might be able to repair them to a working state so that you can use them again in your efforts against the Liberty navy. Let us know should you be interested in such cooperation.
Kind regards."

The speaker leans in at the camera as the stream ends.

Director...

Won't lie, I did almost throw this in the trash when I saw who it was from. Your people aren't exactly seen with much grace here, given past events. Regardless, considering the shit we've been left by some of our own, I'm not exactly in a position to judge.

Amy West, Admiral of Battlegroup Gladius, what you may know as the remnants of the Hellfire Legion, and currently the highest ranking Insurgency officer still left around Veracruz. It doesn't surprise me that details of the fighting aren't making it out, despite our best efforts. Broad-range transmissions don't get out nearly as well as tight-beam bursts with the Leniex Array. Liberty is doing their damnedest to ensure that their slaughter here doesn't go on the record, which brings to light the unfortunate futility of your offer.

The Navy is blockading Kansas from most of our supply runners, and while we've punched far above our weight here with the destruction of the Delaware, getting anything through the Ohio's rearguard would be a fool's errand. This also isn't factoring in time, as we've bought for ourselves far more than I'd expected we'd have, which I'm not anticipating will last. Finally, even if we were in a position to receive refurbished ships from Bering, much of our reserve capital has already been used up to secure our supply lines from the west and to ensure future viability of some of our less damaged assets.

I'll make you a counter-offer, though. Since the wrecks are of interest to you, you have the Admiralty's blessing in refurbishing the wrecks for your own use, be that against the Navy or for other purposes in Rheinland. All I ask is that the bodies of any Legionnaires or Separatists you find be given proper burials at space, and any logs for crew counts or command rosters submitted to me through a separate encrypted channel. Assuming the stubbornness of the Mark IV Judicator and the Inquisitor in general, they should serve your people well if you can get them running again.

If we survive this shitshow, then perhaps we can talk future cooperation as well.

West, out.

The Direktor bowed his head slightly before he started speaking.

"Tag' Admiral West.
I'm delighted to see your reply. I thought this might be a lost cause.
So be it then, with your blessing we will tow those ships in for repairs and you will be entitled to all intellectual property we will find in them as well as a proper burial for your men.
I see your cause is a noble one and that your current situation isn't all sunshine and rainbows.

Look. I fought in the Bering war myself, in the lines of the 2nd strike squadron of the Unioners, I personally fought multiple Harmony soldiers. However, war is war and those times are now behind us.

You speak of this blockade around the Kansas system, yet my Unioners are some of the most skilled smugglers in Sirius. Let us form ties once more, Admiral West, send me a list of supplies you most desperately need and I will risk my men's lives to deliver them to you. Should you allow us to redeem ourselves, that is.

Oh, and a scan of the system might be of use. So that we know what we're working with.
Safe skies Admiral."

Director,

I apologize for the delay. Between the Navy's psychic code warriors blocking our signals and the nebula being exceptionally erratic lately, I think this is probably attempt six or seven to get this sent. At least the blueshirts were kind enough to accept a Christmas ceasefire, but it didn't offer much respite.

If your people are still game to run the blockade, I'm certain the landing pad quartermasters will welcome anything you can get through. Alloys for repairs, H-Fuel, pharmaceuticals, and munitions are the primary concerns at the moment, as we have a lot of injured personnel just planetside alone. Veracruz provides for bio needs, though more nuanced technical items to keep things running are in short supply as well, namely fusion diodes, which have been shattering left and right ever since the Navy really started their indiscriminate bombardment of the surface. Our supply of robotics, and service robots in general, is also under threat, as I need every able body to keep up the defense.
Really, we'll take anything at this point, but I'd rather throw missiles at the blues rather than lumps of hydrocarbons.

As for Kansas, well..
As much as it pained me, Captain Fairchild was willing to sacrifice her holiday rest to provide a detailed, though likely incomplete, survey of the system. I owe her quite a bit for that one.
If you aren't aware, Kansas can be accessed through an obscure anomaly in the Pequena Negra within the Texas system. We've mapped it somewhere within Sector 2C there, though the dark matter messes with the region considerably, so have your people account for that. The anomaly exits within another dark matter field, Smokey Hill, which I recommend your men skirt the edges of for as long as possible to prevent detection. Once the field clears, it's open space until you hit the Arkansas Field. What forces I have still deployed behind the lines have repeatedly reported scattered blues within the field, though they seem mostly concentrated around the remains of Fort Riley.
The Vespucci anomaly has stayed stable for the last few years, so the marked location should be pretty accurate. Once through the hole, it's pretty much a straight shot barring interceptors from the Ohio.
I'm also aware your people aren't rookies, as you've said, but I'd rather provide an analysis regardless on the off chance that it does prove useful.

At the least, a new source of supplies should make an evacuation smoother; At best, it may just turn the tide. Either way, I'm more than happy to authorize what credits we have left in the reserves towards the quartermasters down at the ports.

On a side note, regarding the Bering wrecks, let me know if your people come across a Judicator with the word 'Invictus' burned into the hull.

West, out.
