Trade / Treasure Hunt / Mission Event still in Progress!
There's a few obvious front runners but still many prizes to claim! New Hints for harder locations, but for the most part, process of elimination!
Infocards are your friends
Still time to make a quick lawful friendly ship (freighter or below) and join the competition for great prizes!
Ships that believe they have finished all event missions should communicate this to Event Coordinator (on this thread or other methods) so others can be informed. Confirmation by Event Coordinator through Event Statistics is required before winners are declared.
Our second winner is: [Hunter]Alvin.Pend
Congrats on your Jump Drive IV prize!
Arrangements will be made via PM on forum to get this device to you!

Event scheduled to close by the weekend - last chance to participate!
"Event scheduled to close by the weekend " ... ahhhh well ... i saw this and tought i i still have some time to find some more, but looks like the weekend arrieved earlier. ok!! looks like i won nothing ... well i'm not going to say that was a complete waste of time, I participated not for the prize but just for participating, since even if things went well, if the time spent discovering all the bases had been carrying cargo, I would have earned more credits. but ok!!
next time make a smaller event, many players didn't care because it was too long and the prizes to small. it wasn't that easy since many clues lead to wrong places, and many times a lots of frustrating build up.
well take care and kudos for the event
Sorry for the disappointment here and I do appreciate the feedback - it sort of falls in line with my feelings for how the event went as well.
The statistics were showing many were trying it out, but didn't usually follow through to next cards in the progression of the mission sets. This stat as well as the more overhead from the administrative side of collecting results and analyzing 20 odd events for changes in player accomplishments - I guess it burnt out not only the players but the 'staff' (ie myself for certain).
The write-up for 20 missions for the event took a week, on and off when time permitted, to get ready and then my implementation of it hit some difficulties which was another week of troubleshooting. The 'story' being in-game rather than just on the forum post was a big WIN for my lessons in the use of the generic event plug-in, however I'm the first to admit my haste in putting it into practice had me skip important steps - like ensuring trade earnings for each step of the way, so at least it wouldn't be all just base checking throughout.
My lessons here:
-Smaller event, less frustration: I'd already planned on having more linear story mission type events (well, sort of, but no spoilers here) - now that I will time out to finish in reasonable amounts of gameplay - and with no guesswork There will still be some brainteasers - but not 15 in one event
-Make it worth it to participate, not just if you win: Already a main goal of most events I try, but unfortunately left out of this one, really by oversight and quick deployment of the event on my end. On this type of event, it could probably easily have been done with paid bonuses as a player progressed - but see the 'overhead' remark from previously... maybe 'milestones' might have worked... hmm
Thank you for your participation, but I REALLY thank you for these comments because they leave me with information to make future events better - not just more unique - both important goals for my contributions to Discovery Freelancer.
