With the Insurgency all but defeated and the Gallic Wars finally a thing of the past once and for all Liberty is finding itself in a new territory. Peace. With no major domestic opposition on the horizon and the newfound more or less stable relations with all the houses including Gallia Liberty can now safely look towards new horizons of expansion and natural resource independence. The key to this is the Supergate to Omicron Nu, and the First Armada is as usual at the forefront of Liberty's efforts, ready to be called bold or reckless depending on the point of view.

After finally dealing with all the strange diseases, officers going mad, and disappearances we can now finally embark on an uninterrupted mission of conventional conquest. And today we have found out that even that isn't going to be easy. The locals are angry, they seem to have realized the gravity of the situation, but luckily for us, they are by no means united. Yesterday a massive assault on the super gate by the Corsairs took place. But it was not meant to be just us against them. Soon the Outcasts, Order, and even massive Nomad warforms with their pawns appeared and a massively chaotic battle ensued. Joined hand in hand by the 5th Fleet, Aegis reinforcement, and other Liberty Navy arrivals the situation looked extremely dire. Our flagship the Barbara Jacobi was lost early on and it seemed like the Omicrons will repel us once more.

A hero rises
Then a hero rose and saved the day. Ensign(!!!) Aiden Pearce was given the duty inside Liberty Arrow's gunnery room. What happened next was nothing short of heroic. Enemy after enemy started falling under his aim, including a Nomad bomber warform, and when the dust settled, it was only Liberty's warships alongside several bruised outcast fighters that prevailed.

With this, Aiden Pearce has been promoted to the rank of Lieutenant, given command of his own cruiser, and given a special Sniper Award as the first recipient in the First Armada. Although this is just the beginning of Liberty's uninterrupted expansion, the Omicrons Campaign already has it's first certified hero, and we are sure there are many more to come in the months and years ahead as we move to places Liberty has never moved into before in these unprecedented times of peace with all the houses.
