SUBJECT: Regulator report
Guten Tag,
My name is Rupert Hofmann I am stationed onboard Mecklenburg Station manning the communications and aerospace traffic. I am submitting this report based upon unusual activity in Sigma-15. Not three weeks ago I was given a notice that a Rheinlander capital ship would be passing through on a routine patrol of Sigma-15. I logged the report and went about my duties, however a few days later I noticed the scheduled ship did not appear on time, and soon I would learn it would never show. I notified my superior of the abnormality and we both set to reviewing the records. We both discovered that the ship in question, designated RLM Großer Kurfürstm, had not existed until a few moments after it was scheduled to depart. No record of its contraction, is commanding officer, or record of service.
I realize that this ship may be part of a special operation, and if such is the case I am prepared to remove all data concerning the vessel.
Danke für reporting this.
Unfortunately we have no knowledge of a ship with those credentials.
It's possible this would have been a ship of the Zweite Flotte. However, I have no access to their database.

It is an honor to serve Rheinland, I am surprised this report has gone so far up the chain of Command, Herr Konteradmiral. Since I submitted the original report I have done some investigation of my own, with my superior's approval of course. Mine own station allows me access to the close and medium range sensors on the station, the long range sensors are maned by service men of a higher rank as they handle more sensitive information. However, one among the staff was willing to tell me that the station's long range sensors logged a ship graft of battleship or dreadnought weight class. Unfortunately the sensors were not able to obtain an IFF, the officer on duty decide not dispatch a fighter wing to investigate.
I carried my investigation onto the local freeport, however they claimed to have never detected such a contact. Herr Konteradmiral, if might be allowed to speculate I do not believe they are being truthful. There but four ways out of the system the jumpgate leading to frankfurt, Sigma-21, Munich, and Omicron Rho jumpholes. Frankfurt and Munich seem an unlikely choice as they lead back into Rheinland, this leaves Sigma-21 and Omicron Rho both being will within the freeport's sensor range. So unless a ship of that class mounted a cloaking devise they are simply unwilling to tell me or they are hiding something. Of course, a simple bribe could also be the cause of their tight lips.
To that end if the Zoners are unwilling we might contact the miners in Sigma-21 or the Core base in Rho to see if they have sighted this ship. As this is well outside my authority I can only give this as a suggestion. Another avenue of investigation might be led into the origin of this ship, a ship of that size must have left a trail. I can only hope I have honored Rheinland with my service and that I have not accidently uncovered one of our own covert operations.
I'm glad with the initiative you're taking. As it seems you already did your research, I will let you lead the search for this mysterious ship.
I"ve sent a small squadron to Mecklenburg Station. They are available to you as support. Most of the pilots are still relatively new, but show a lot of promise. I suggest you use them wisely. If anything interesting pops up, report back on this channel. I will keep doing research from my side in the meantime.

SUBJECT: We Found a Trail
Guten Tag Herr Konteradmiral Gunter Kunrad,
We have just retuned from our investigation of Omicron Rho and Sigma-21. As I am not qualified to operate a fighter one of the fighter pilots allowed me to ride around on her craft. We first began on search in Simga-21first we contacted the miners yet found nothing we also contacted the Battleship Daishouri. The captain of the Daishouri did not report anything out of the ordinary. After such time we decided to move our search to Omicron Rho.
The comms officer at Durban Station would happened to have spotted the ship we are seeking. The station identified the vessel as the Grosser Kurfürstm, it would seem they located our missing vessel as it would seem the ship's name has been altered slightly. The officer claimed the ship to be a Bismarck-class vessel, yet the officer reported that the energy readings of the battleship was far below the normal output of a ship of that class. The Grosser Kurfürstm did not attempt to contact the station, instead it immediately set out the Omicron Delta jumphole. the officer did state that the sighting was a week and a half old and that they have not seen the vessel since.
we decided to return to Mecklenburg Station to report our success as the Omicron Delta is known to house a alarming amount of Nomad sightings. I hope you have found your own success in your own research Herr Konteradmiral.
I inquired fellow Offiziere. They seem not aware of anything concerning this missing ship. However, upon closer inspection some officers have noted some projects that were having trouble with funding where no longer requesting additional funds. Yet when we questioned them about where and how they received the funds, they reported it came from the military. The codes they have been using were approximately 30 years old. It seems we may have a wealthy mole with knowledge of our old codes. You are authorized to continue your search in the Omicrons. However, you are instructed to keep a low profile. The last thing I need on my desk are complaints of Rheinland transgression.
As a sidenote: I've sent a fly instructor to Mecklenburg Station. She will give you a crash course on a Disir. Someone leading a search mission shouldn't be in the backseat of a fighter.

Today I and Schulz Niklas flew out of Mecklenburg Station on our mission to find a lead on our missing ship. I am pleased to report, that our mission was a success Zoners at Freeport 11, Omicron Delta, had claimed sightings of the Grosser Kurfürst. They had also claimed that the ship was porting a Zoner ID, this may be the reason why it has been able to operate out of the Omicron without coming under fire from the local pirates of that sector. One of the Zoners their also mention spotting the ship in Zeta, so we set out to check the Zoner space station in Zeta, Kadesh Orbital city. Unfortunately these Zoners where far more tight lipped then the Zoners in Delta. They did not share much othen then that the station provide the ship its Zoner ID and that it is known the station itself in Omicron Nu.
We entertained the idea of further investigation into Nu, however our senses had been picking up sights on Nomad fighters close by. Given the apparent danger we choose to return to Rheinlander space and report. This turned out to be the right call as we were set upon by two Nomad fighters as he entered Delta. Given my inexperience with fighters and dogfighting I chose to fallback without engaging the nomad fighters. We came to a close call as we were just entering the Rho Jumphole as my ship began warning me of missile locks. The Nomad fighter did not chose to follows to Rho. It from there that we returned to Rheinland space.
To summarize, we have confirmed that the Grosser Kurfürst was been seen in Delta and Zeta with reports of sightings in Nu. The ship is making use of a Zoner ID to avoid conflict with the local forces but to what existent this has proven to be effective is unknown to us at this time.

Very good work, I also received Bootsmann Schulz' s report.
It was good you two evaded combat. This mission should remain low-key and there is no need in risking lives for combat mission with no purpose to it. I'm surprised Order vessels were helpful in a way. I will keep note of that. I did some further research of my own of said ship and captain and can confirm the ship is likely mostly active in Omicron Nu and Delta. Also it is probable that it will return deeper in the Omicrons for resupplying.
The Zoners tend to be loyal to their own, even though I can confirm the captain of the ship is not a Zoner at all. Rather he used to be a former Konteradmiral under the name of Petter Müller. His crew are also ex-Rheinland Military members. I questioned certain people that were connected to him and found out the Ex-Konteradmiral lost himself after his son went MIA. From what I gather he got captured by pirates and then the pirate ship got attacked by Nomads. I will conduct my research further on this area. For now your squadron will remain to look in the Omicrons.
I cannot state enough how important it is to keep this mission top-secret, Herren. Keep up the good work.
