The concept behind these is to create price fluctuations that reflect the changing economic environment in the mod, due to various events that take place. These can be related to battles, faction storylines, or other fictional events. They should provide opportunities for multiple factions to participate. Both lawful and unlawful events are possible, and may be submitted by official factions, or even independent, individual players or groups of players.
Provide the following information:
1) The names of all bases where different prices are temporarily desired. Match commodity names to those bases. (Keep these as short as possible to create the event. Changing 10 commodities at 30 bases is a huge amount of work). Make sure to indicate whether prices should go up or down if that is not obvious (most likely they'll go up). List commodities and bases in order of importance from most important to least important.
2) Factions that would be involved in promoting the event.
3) Factions that could be involved in hostility towards the event (they want to interfere with the event and interdict the trading/smuggling).
4) Links to any relevant forum stories, threads, or background. Provide post numbers if the link refers to a post instead of the entire thread.
5) List the participants and promoters of the event : player factions, or individual players not related to involved factions
6) Provide a brief summary of how you intend to promote the event on the forums, and on the server. Include the server-side activities that will support the event. In other words, how will people find out about the event, and what will cause them to want to participate (apart from profits).
7) Explain how the event will support current or planned roleplaying of the factions or individuals involved in the event. What mod, factional, or individual storylines are affected?
Not all of that information is necessary for the creation of your event, but if I have to choose between 2 options, the more thorough application will probably be implemented first.
There will be economic events created by me, if submissions are not received.

The KoF are going to be putting together an idea for this over the next couple of days I will post up when we have it finished.
Edit: This is what we came up with. Sorry if it is not what you are looking for
Rumours are going around that the Liberty Navy will create a 2nd front against Rheinland. Therefor they ask every Liberty trading company and Inderpendant traders to ship cargo to Duluth Shipyard ready for the offensive.
The comodities that could be taken to Dulth Shipyard are (Basic Alloys, Super Alloys, MOX, light arms, military vehicals, boron,) This is so more ships can be produced closer to the front line so the Liberty Navy can create the 2nd front against Rheinland in New Hampshire.
Duluth Shipyard has a lot of nuclear waste because of the production of ships with their secretly developed frames. This waste have to be transported to a place (Bretonia or Kusari) where they can take care about the waste.
The production of the ships and cooling down the production lines and the nuclear waste means Dulth needs a lots of water. We can get this water if Miner clans help us to extract this from the ice-meteors in our system.
Of course this won't be without some problems.
More pirates (Outcast, Rogues, Lane Hackers) will come to Minnesota.
And Rheinland won't sit still and let this happen. They will try to hire Bounty hunters, Freelancers and maybe also Red Hessians and Unioners to stop this.

Planet Pittsburgh - Scrap Metal - Up
Other bases in New York should probably cease selling Scrap Metal for the duration of the event
2) Factions that would be involved in promoting the event.
ALG Waste Disposal
Deep Space Engineering
Liberty Police, Inc.
There is also the possibility that the Liberty Navy guns will float past in-between invasions.
3) Factions that could be involved in hostility towards the event (they want to interfere with the event and interdict the trading/smuggling).
Junkers: "The scrap is ours."
Liberty Rogues: "No, the scrap is ours."
Xenos: "It's ours, or perhaps Liberty's. In any case, it certainly isn't theirs!"
In addition, Lane Hackers may very well sieze the opportunity to strike for profit the substantial corporate presence.
4) Links to any relevant forum stories, threads, or background. Provide post numbers if the link refers to a post instead of the entire thread.
5) List the participants and promoters of the event : player factions, or individual players not related to involved factions.

6) Provide a brief summary of how you intend to promote the event on the forums, and on the server. Include the server-side activities that will support the event. In other words, how will people find out about the event, and what will cause them to want to participate (apart from profits).
Promotion of the event on the forums will begin by the participating factions establishing the background for the event with posts in their message dumps and diplomatic correspondences. Due to public attention, The Discoverer will also be reporting on anything related to the event. These news stories will be posted on The Discoverer website as well as announced in the CNS Announcement thread.
There will be either a single or a series of coherent events based on the economy event. These events will be announced and organized in the Events forum. They will be between whichever of the concerned factions are available, and will vary in nature depending on which are.
The event will, if all goes well, add variation to the life of New York in the form of well-organized and high-quality role-play. Hopefully the proximity of the event will provide positive exposure to new players and give them somewhat of a familiarity with not only several Liberty factions but also a peek venue into Rheinland through ALG. The event is a simple and straight-forward one with potential for multi-sided interaction according to complex diplomatic relations.
7) Explain how the event will support current or planned roleplaying of the factions or individuals involved in the event. What mod, factional, or individual storylines are affected?
Most obviously, the ALG faction -- on the road to officialness -- will be able to establish itself as a corporation that largely transcends inter-House politics. Taking this step early, rather than gradually growing into the shoes of the NPCs, will help in making ALG role-play strong and supported.
This event will also start a relationship between ALG and DSE, one of the few other corporations that largely transcends House politics, though perhaps not to as large a degree as ALG. It is, fundamentally, a natural relationship between the waste producer and waste mitigator. As this relationship develops, it may have a considerable impact on the relationship between Liberty and Rheinland since despite the transcendance the two corporations are firmly tied to their respective Houses: ALG and DSE each represent a substantial portion of the influence and power base Rheinland and Liberty have in Sirius. Of course, whether or not there is any noticable effect on the houses, there will certainly be noticable change in the factions themselves.
The existence of LPI as a private security corporation -- not just a privatized police force -- will be strengthened.
The Xenos will have concrete material typical to their story to role-play on: foreign infringement on Liberty employment. Not only that, but they will be given the opportunity to feast on domestic strife beyond the petty squibbles over trace Silver and Copper deposits. That is to say, there will be plenty of potential enemies for the Xenos to fight not only on both sides of the law, but between them too.
Apropos Junkers, they will now have something specific to do in Liberty. Why haven't they shown much interest in the New York scrap? Not because there hasn't been any interest, but because there hasn't been any other role-play to make such interest viable in substantial Junker role-play. This will hopefully change this.
The Pittsburgh Debris Field is an area of Liberty with spectacular potential for role-play. It was produced by DSE, surrounds the heart of Liberty industry, is used by the Rogues to hide a Destroyer and stage attacks on the major commercial and military arteries through New York, and is also infested by Junkers scavenging what they can find. This event will turn the field into the object of a major workplace increase, but will in large part give these workplaces to non-Libertonians, hence bringing the Xenos into the fray.
Fundamentally, it represents the crux of domestic Liberty diplomacy.
Having established a foothold in Omicron Delta, the Guild Core begins exploiting the reserves of Iridium nearby. The mining of Iridium is to be carried out by cheap labour in the form of prisoners from the criminal gangs across Sirius.
Dabadoru Base, Omicron Delta - price increase for prisoners; mining machinery added as commodity at increased price. The bump in price for the latter should be enough to attract those interested in making a quick profit, as the commodity is freely available throughout many nearby systems. It is rarely shipped, so anyone carrying it will likely draw unwelcome attention to themselves from the unlawfuls on the route.
2) Factions that would be involved in promoting the event.
Bounty Hunters.
3) Factions that could be involved in hostility towards the event (they want to interfere with the event and interdict the trading/smuggling).
Every nasty in the Omicrons, Sigmas, Omegas and so on.
4) Links to any relevant forum stories, threads, or background. Provide post numbers if the link refers to a post instead of the entire thread.
Our PTS service existed previously in the S/D faction and we've run a few missions since as the BHG|PTS.
5) List the participants and promoters of the event : player factions, or individual players not related to involved factions
BHG (especially PTS) and BHG|Core
6) Provide a brief summary of how you intend to promote the event on the forums, and on the server. Include the server-side activities that will support the event. In other words, how will people find out about the event, and what will cause them to want to participate (apart from profits).
A announcement on the forums announcing demand for prisoners. We will set a quota for our own faction to provide, creating a new sub-faction if possible (Miner ID) and offer a bonus for people who meet other quotas.
7) Explain how the event will support current or planned roleplaying of the factions or individuals involved in the event. What mod, factional, or individual storylines are affected?
The re-fitting of Dabadoru will be complete by the next update. Having discovered deposits of Iridium in the asteroid field in which the base is located, the Guild creates a penal colony with prisoners from all over Sirius to mine the field. It could cause tension with the nearby Zoners, the increased human presence there should also draw the attention of Nomads anxious to halt further human encroachment. Most likely, the ranks of nearby unlawful factions will grow from any liberated prisoners. The current uodate with the increased prices worked quite well. There is a steady flow of trade ships from all over bringing in Mox, Light Arms, Synth Food, etc. BHG activity is consistent.
UPGRADE AND NEW BASE BUILD FOR GATEWAY INTERSTELLAR
Due to the improvements to the Bretonia region of Sirius Gateway Interstellar announce the upgrading of their HQ at Kensington Station in New London and the building of a new depot in Manchester.
To enable the upgrade of Kensington Station various commodities need to be delivered there. Namely Quantum Multiplexers and Ship Hull Panels.
The Building of our new depot in Manchester is an altogether bigger project. Our shipping office on Sheffield Station has requested the delivery of Super Alloy and Ship Hull Panels to start the building.
All Gateway Interstellar Trading Captains need to be involved in the delivery of these goods as it requires an enormous amount of material to do this. Gateway Security pilots will also be needed as well to protect these shipments. (As well as Gateway a number of independent and other allied trading and security vessels will be required)
As our new depot is built I am sure that various parties will be less than pleased about it, namely the Lane Hackers and Outcasts in the Manchester area and the Mollies and Corsairs in the New London area.
(The factions that will be promoting the event are Gateway Interstellar and will also be the main participants as well. Allies of Gateway and also security based factions e.g. The BHG, Mandalorians etc will also take part.
Promoting the event will take place on the forums as well as The Discoverer.
Gateway has grown quite large on the server and the need for new and improved bases is apparent. The planned event will strengthen role-play in all regions between lawful and unlawful factions and independents of both sides and strengthen bonds between allied factions)

Handling all of the Gaian Wildlife on Perth Station, Edinburgh, eventually leads to complications- disease, parasites, and all those problems. The crew of the Perth has begun falling ill to bizarre, alien diseases. They have desperately began importing medicine from all over Sirius in attempts to find a cure. Meanwhile, Cold Bay station will no longer take these sickly animals. But Cambride Research Station is intrigued by this development, and will pay rather nicely to get their hands on these biological anomalies. Biological Weapons might be what Bretonia needs to win the war. The Gaians still have deep-seated objections to this misuse of animals and would rather see the sickly things euthanized than used for experiments.

Cold Bay, Hudson- Gaian Wildlife, down.
Cambridge Research Station, Cambride- Wildlife, up
Perth, Edinburgh, Pharmaseuticals, up
2) Factions that would be involved in promoting the event.
Planetform, BAF, BPA on the lawful end
3) Factions that could be involved in hostility towards the event (they want to interfere with the event and interdict the trading/smuggling).
Gaians oppose. The other factions see it as an opportunity to win the war
4) Links to any relevant forum stories, threads, or background. Provide post numbers if the link refers to a post instead of the entire thread.
None
5) List the participants and promoters of the event : player factions, or individual players not related to involved factions
This is a normal trade route fluctuation, so indie traders, and faction traders could be involved
6) Provide a brief summary of how you intend to promote the event on the forums, and on the server. Include the server-side activities that will support the event. In other words, how will people find out about the event, and what will cause them to want to participate (apart from profits).
I, being a member of the (currently) unofficial Planetform| corporation, will organize convoys inside our corporation, doing this trade route in an open and flamboyant manner, attracting not only Planetform indie traders, but also attract unlawful attention to the route, which will then trigger the BPA and BAF to react.
7) Explain how the event will support current or planned roleplaying of the factions or individuals involved in the event. What mod, factional, or individual storylines are affected?
It's been widely shown that Gaian Wildlife are desired for terraforming, so they've been exported in gross, large amounts. This is sure to lead to error. Which leads to disease outbreak. With a major pharmaceutical output nearby, it all makes sense that Bretonia would look to save it's major terraforming outpost. And the Gaians oppose this, of course. This would increase inter-Bretonian trading, which we all know, it needs. Right now, Bretonia is either a stop, or a shortcut.

I'll include the Gaian Wildlife proposal in the next update, but somewhat modified.
Updates are apparently not available on the monthly basis that is necessary to conduct these events long term, so there will be no further events until 4.86 is released, at which time I may conduct some since there will be more frequent updates during the release period.
In other words, this topic can be unpinned.

What about the little FLHook who-jobber that Dusty and Cannon were meddling with?
Could what was done with the water for FP14 and food on Crete be used for something like these economic events? nothing as outrageous as selling water for 9k, but a more toned down version?
