Outcast can take their ships but thru hostile space ... so easy winners sairs
but is just credits right?
In Rheinland we will kindly ask you drop your cargo and escort to zoners and junkers and so on if we see, destruction if you don't follow orders, meanwhile we can and we will attack on corsair ships, you have a point, if you are pinpoint in rheinland as outcast probably you could be "safer" due the kindly request, you can always try to evade, but consider not doing so...
your route is larger to reach, that is true, but you have a slight advantage in case we caught outcast ships

The Corsair playerbase is many times more numerous than anyone who would be supporting the Outcasts. Also, the fact that Corsairs are buying stuff from a Corsair base means that any possibility of them being surprise-ambushed is a smidge bit smaller.
Now FLCompanion tells me that Malta is slightly more profitable, but when you weigh in the risk it will be very understandable if the Outcasts end up left in the dust on this one.
I will answer to this, The Outcast factions are less likely to accept new members, people wanted be loyal and did simply mistakes inRP (texting) that don't suit into the rigid outcast ideology were kicked, i losed interested even when i wanted take part of lot of the Outcast Official Factions ... but seeing how "poor" are there way to expand or have another ideologies i just stopped, personally i have seen lot of people doing so ...
Corsairs in Exchange? well, they are rigid, but able to expand their mind, if your RP isn't the best, the most they could do is just maybe ignore the message (?) playing with them, even hidding one official ship with them with other IDs and so on, show me how nicely they behave, and since they probably have a taste for everyone joining them, maybe that is the main reason why Outcast player base is kinda low ... they don't "kick" to a loyal player only issue has to be more with the way they behave or write his "messages" or so, that is what make a faction likely or less likely to play, last time i talked with outcast was when i get interest in join HS> and after a time i just take note of lot of things, they just have a fascinating way to play, but as soon as you don't comply with their own expectatives, even if is against their ideology or your character commit just a "LITTLE" but allowable mistake, you will be receiving a message from the HQ ... "We talked and we wanted to say you, you will not longer be part of the HS> because your mistake, or unable to be a greatest RP sensitive, (lot of people we don't have main english language sadly, we prefer take another ones or simply play our way, and writing while fighting is kinda hard to do, because we belive in inmediate writting before just relying on /1 /2 /3 ... auto-messages and pre-defined" ....
So, if they can allow even a bad RP player but consistent, loyal and following player that just join your faction in a good faith to learn, have some fun and give activity time while you are nicely loving your time with them ... what that means?
Well, it means the faction is fully RP oriented and everything you can bring, being good or bad, well ... isn't important for them, that rigidness they act and that rules (even when someone can just ignore or permit it because of this) isn't allowed, while people don't insult or say bad words, just type fast and probably wrong ... could laught or something, well, outcasts are kinda drugged ... why they must behave like they are not?
There is your answer why Corsairs are more friendly than Outcasts because of they concentrate and value more the players letting them have fun too, instead of being so closed in mind to do so ... sadly, but true

Outcasts are harder to play because Outcasts are not ordinary people living in Omicrons like Corsairs - they are their own species with their own conditions for proper portrayal.
For example - The fact that Outcast factions don't take 'Outcasts' who were born anywhere other than Malta is correct because all Outcasts were born there. And none of them will ever voluntarily leave that planet for the long term.
Another example - unlike all other factions, for example, it is completely worthless for them to conquer or attempt to colonize other planets because they simply aren't Malta.
These two major points in their lore already makes it clear that they are unlike any other faction in the game. It is almost impossible to make exceptions if you are a serious Outcast roleplayer - you have to ask them kindly to correct their mistakes first.
On the other note, though - I am enjoying this event a lot even if it consumes a lot of my ingame savings. My personal kudos to @Barrier.

That's entirely subjective. Every faction in the game has a baseline difficulty to roleplay properly - knowing lore, knowing developments, having decent writing skills, level of creativity, good command of the English language. Adding layers of complexity to the roleplay is also subject to personal choice and capability.
I consider your roleplay great, but that's a consequence of your skill and irrespective of your faction of choice.

Corsairs have a similar thing about cultural heritage and are not keen on taking foreigners. They have to be Corsair born.

I would argue that makes RP easier particularly when it comes to foreign policy/relations with other factions since you have less options on the table to consider.
Separate from that, it's worth mentioning that when I joined 2 years ago, one of the major factors as to why I picked Corsairs for DTR was that there was hardly anyone playing them and there were no really active groups playing at the time. The Omicrons were pretty empty in fact. Take what you will from that and the current situation.
Having an active community / region is a net positive overall in majority of cases.
