Hey Rick, this is Frostbyte, former leader of the Lone Star Scrappers turned Freelancer Smuggler. I'm not sure if we ever crossed paths but I heard about you through various Junker circles whilst I was a member of that stout and honorable group. I'm reaching out to you now as a Freelancer who is looking to get my old Pilgrim Liner up and running.
I got the Anamnesis in the days before my smuggling empire was born. Now that I have a fair bit of scratch (re)obtained after the Pulse wiped out my bank accounts, I'm looking to get the ship up and running. However, being a newly minted Freelancer and no longer a Junker (alas), I am running into hurdles getting the requisite parts together to fix her and bring her online.
The engineering part I have covered, I used to take apart my pops Salvager back in the day and tinker with increasing it's engine yield...what I need is something only a Junker could do properly: Sort through Scrap and Military Salvage and find the cream of the crop. Plus, of course, whatever other components you think would be adequate to bring the ship online properly with longevity in mind and the ability to fend off would-be do-gooders trying to steal my illict cargo. A Serenity is good and all, but nothing beats the hull strength of a Pilgrim Liner.
I'm working a contract with some little known Freelancers out in the Edge worlds and apart of that contract stipulates that I be allowed to work on the Ananmesis at their base, so the items can be delivered there. However, they're really squirrely about giving out it's location on anything except highly encrypted comms, so I'll send that separately.
I sure hope that you're able to help me out Rick, you're probably my only real chance at getting this girl up and running. Name your price on the components. I'm good to pay whatever you're asking.
Signed,
An Ex-Junker turned Freelancer
-'byte
P.S. Keep me in mind too if you need anything run that you're unable to fetch. I'm more than willing to lend a Junker a hand in these...trying times.

Good day Frostbyte,
While I don't believe we ever met personally I am familiar with the Lone Star Scrappers, and it pains me to see another group of Junkers fall apart. Striking it out on your own as a Freelancer is a brave thing to do, I respect you deeply for it. Getting the supplies you need and sorting through the various bits of Salvage wouldn't normally cost much. The real cost in this endeavor is where you want it taken. I'm no stranger to The Edge Worlds or their dangers, for a normal customer I'd be charging you a Million Credits for the trouble. But, because you are a Junker, and I have some business out in that neck of the woods anyways shoot 250,000 credits my way and we'll call it even. Give me some time to make sure we've got all the tools we need on my Salvager and we'll make best speed towards the Edge Worlds. I'll let you know when we reach Freeport 11 in Omicron Delta since that is where I have other business.
Thanks for getting back to me Rick. See attached documentation of the transfer. Additional credits to your people that drop off the requisite Military Salvage and Scrap. Let me know ahead of time if you think any other materials will be necessary as I will need to notify the dockmaster here that other cargo is coming. The people here are squirrely about the secrecy of their base and the items onboard. It's super annoying, but it's a good out of the way place to get work done with limited interruptions. I'm also planning on having the Anamnesis moved to this location in the coming days to make work easier. It won't be easy, but then again what is?
I've notified the dockmaster of your impending arrival. You shouldn't have any problems with docking. Let me know if you need anything else from my end to facilitate this little adventure of mine. Looking forward to working together.
The group I was working with out in, well I guess it doesn't matter me keeping it secret now, Omicron Delta suddenly decided to sell their little outpost out from under me. Luckily, I was in the process of buying up a little known outpost out in Tau-23 called Ikarus Station at the same time. As such, I've moved all my operations out there and setup a nice little side hustle where Cardamine is involved. Hired on some crew to conceal the drug in non-descript packages to make hauling the stuff around that much easier.
So bring the materials here, I've hired on a crew to tow the Anamnesis to Ikarus for easier operations. Feel free to haul some concealed Cardamine back to the houses for a quick buck if you're interested.
