I hope this message finds you well old friend. I can only imagine the surprise you'll find upon opening this message, and seeing a familiar, yet older face.
Returning to the Sirius systems have already shown a multitude of changes and subsequent questions over the state of things. Likewise, I'm sure you as well have a system's worth of questions. I hope that we'll be able to share stories over a drink very soon.
With that in mind, I've moored the Ingenuus at Livadia for the time being, in order to reacclimatize myself. Yes, she's still in one piece and is still recognizable since you last saw her.
Assuming this message is received and you are in good health, it would warm this old Dubliner's heart to see a friend and ex-colleague. I'll remain at Livadia for a period of 1 standard week, after which we shall see where the void winds take me.
Starlight Research Consortium Chasing starlight since 829 A.S.

My My My, If its isn't the famed, or unfamed McCool. My Eris above and below, time has made old men of us both. I honestly don't even know where to begin. Within a year or two I think after your departure Ezrie went missing. Space being what it is I never did get a clear answer on what happened. Ingenuus was disbanded in the aftermath. I managed to keep the majority of the original department of Hyperspace Cartography together for a number of years after that, mostly aboard the Aurora.
In 829 Starlight Research Consortium was founded with much of the same principals that Ingenuus focused upon in its early years. Unfortunately the Consortium went into a mostly idle state in late 829. Sean, you remember Sean Goodman, former administrator of Freeport 9? Oh, about 9, its been annexed by the Corsairs. It was quite the event resulting in some serious damage to the Biomes.
Anyways, back to Sean, we finally tied the knot at the Goddess Geode before departing aboard The Gryphon to found a new colony outside of the Sirius Sector. I ended up stripping the Aurora's Core, along with its survey equipment to leave behind for the new Colony.
You see there was this Pulse in the second year after the founding of the Colony. It disrupted the jump hole network, and our communication relays back into the core of Sirius. It took us the better part of the next two years to retrofit the Aurora and return via normal space. At least for a portion of the journey. My hope is to eventually reestablish direct communication with the Colony but it may be some time, especially given how the Pulse has substantially changed the sector interconnectivity.
So it is my good fortune that you have returned to Sirius almost at the same time, albeit on the other side of the sector. You see Starlight is based off of Ikarus station, in Tau-23 and we're going to be hosting a meet and greet, if you could join us on January 20th it would be greatly honored. If you can't let me know, I'll clear some time and make my way to Livadia, I'm like 90% sure I left a bottle of something in the crawl space above my my old lab. Surely its still there after all these years. Ageing beautifully, unlike you.
