Ah, why didn't you say that earlier, Doc? Junkers are easy to bargain with. You had me worried for a second. Roach over there will take the location of his trading post, and we might stop by with some loot. [Fang returns his cigar to his mouth] It'll cover our debt.
Once we get the transmitter, our guys in space will come pick it up and jury-rig a new satellite for us. That's only a temporary solution, though. Commander told me we'll go decentralized. I don't know what that means [Fang shrugs], but he told me it'll get the Navy out of our backs, at least for a while.

Commander means we'll migrate to civilian satellites, not our old ZDF sats.

Yeah... makes sense. Thanks for clearing that up, Roach.

As they were speaking, a small shuttle craft set down in a field just beyond a grove. It was a short walk for the men but Doc got to his feet and led them over.
As they got there, Doc and Gilbert shook hands.
"What be the sudden call for me, Doc?" he asked.
Doc motioned to the men around him. "These men need use of a high power transmitter and I know your shuttle has one."
Gilbert looked at them oddly. Gilbert was a husky man with graying hair and facial hair. His hair was shoulder length.
"Aye," Gilbert said looking at the men. "I heard of resistance fighters but um, these are the first I have seen."
Doc then handed Gilbert his chipset. "Use this. No one will detect the encryption." Gilbert then set up the transmitter and allowed for the men to do as they needed.
When they finished, he addressed the leader.
"Ayuh........I don't care about your resistin' an' all but uh, do me a favor and keep going. If ye need goods, I can drop em' to ye but if ye come to me post, come discretely."
He turned his attention to Doc. "Ye need anythin?"
"Yeah," he answered. He took out his datapad and sent him a picture. "I want that for Isa."
Gilbert smiled, "Tyin' the knot, eh?"
Doc just nodded.
Gilbert responded, "I'll get on it."
He then turned his attention to the men.
Fang greets Gilbert while Roach uploads a message to HQ to benchmark the transmitter: It's just what they need. After confirmation, Roach takes a portable hoverlift from his backpack, preparing to transport the hefty transmitter.
A deal is settled with Gilbert: For the transmitter, they'll route loot to his trading post until the value for the transmitter is paid in full, with a little extra for his troubles.
Fish taps on her wristpad, and tells the team their hovercraft will arrive shortly.

Thanks for the help, Doc... And old man Gilbert over here. [Fang taps his shoulder]
”
Plank and Roach guide the transmitter off the ground, with Fang gesturing to move out. Before they leave, Fang abruptly turns back and reaches for his pocket, giving Doc one of his prized Northminster cigars, as a souvenir. With Fish's help, Fang carries Doc's gift of smoked fish and jerky, and the group departs into the woods after saying their goodbyes.
