Good day.

Doubtless you have noticed our new neighbors by now. Inverness now plays host to a jump hole directly into Ontario—and worse, a mere 36 klicks from Fort Ramsey. Invergordon and the smaller outlying bases around it are now within striking range. With recent improvements in engine technology, it would take less than three minutes for a Xeno swarm to go from the seat of their power to the doorstep of Invergordon itself. With the traitor Knight and her Battlegroup Harmony among them, they have the firepower to at minimum destroy local infrastructure such as the Junkyard and San Juan, and possibly to threaten Invergordon itself.

Inverness is currently our place of residence as well, and while the new LSF presence in the system will doubtless consume resources, we have a vested interest in both protecting you and opposing this new threat. Towards that end we would like to open talks on a defense cooperation agreement for the preservation of both of our ways of life.

While the Task Force is unfamiliar with your history with Auxo, we are familiar with our own history with the Junkers from when we were part of the Hellfire Legion and later Commonwealth of Liberty. We do not expect such grievances to be forgotten overnight, nor are our traditional concerns with Junkers. Your bases are vital lifelines to those who would harm Liberty's civilians, and they serve as stopovers for the cardamine trade. We have even come to blows at many points in our history, though that is long in the past now. On these points we suspect you are as unlikely to budge as we are. While my own niece was once a Junker, so I am personally sympathetic, I represent far more than myself here.

Regardless, despite our many differences, we share a common enemy in the Xenos and a common threat in the Ontario jump hole. I am here to ask not for friendship, nor offer it, but establish cooperation against a mutual foe. Invergordon, Valravn, and Freeport 14 are all under threat, as do the many smaller depots around each of those bases, and we believe collaboration for mutual defense to be wise in the face of this new danger.

▶ Hey Logarch Mori. So I was right. Our way of life based on free and unrestricted trade doesn't interest you, nor does it interest your friends from Valravn. Thus, your desire to preserve our way of life was just a fancy recruitment phrase at best, and a blatant lie at worst.

However, in Invergordon, we are interested in these answers - what happened that we should suddenly expect a sudden all-out attack by the Xenos? Why should we expect an attack on Freeport 14? Did you specifically provoke them so that you want to use us and the Zoners as human shields? And - the elephant in the room - what is the LSF even doing here?

In Ontario, for context, we have a much smaller base for almost two decades and nothing much has happened to it. Actually, the only base that was seriously attacked by the Xenos is Rochester, and Invergordon is an impenetrable fortress for them in comparison.

So, what's really happening in Inverness?

We no more care for your lifestyle than we expect you to care for ours. They are both under threat. While I cannot speak to why Thunder Bay has not been attacked by your one true enemy in Liberty, this jump hole opened a hair's breadth away from Fort Ramsey, the home base of the Harmony and the so-called Liberty Free Republic. I find it remarkable that you are more concerned with venting your frustrations at Auxo than the existence of your mortal foe's greatest stronghold a brief two and a half minutes away, however. I thought better of your organization.

As for the LSF, I frankly have no idea. They have yet to act. My best guess is that they are here at the behest of their pets in Crayter, but that has little basis but existing diplomatic ties.

▶ Hey Logarch Mori. Can you imagine what it looks like from my side? Someone from a group that has been murdering Junkers and obstructing our trade, while simultaneously being hand in hand with a faction that tries to turn my home into their own unlimited kingdom, is clearly trying to recruit us into some kind of war you're waging.

All I've specifically learned so far is that an anomaly to Ontario has opened.

But so far, I haven't seen concrete evidence that:

• The Xenos are amassing forces and have a reason to attack Invergordon. They fight us to steal our business in Liberty. Invergordon too heavily fortified and not in Liberty.
  
  
• The Xenos are amassing forces and have a reason to attack Freeport 14. The Zoners and Xenos are pals. Everyone in Liberty knows that.
  
  
• The Xenos are even capable of a massive frontal attack on Inverness. They haven't even remotely secured Ontario for themselves, so they'd have their back open.

Someone who claims to know where the Xenos base is in Ontario so precisely that they can measure the flight time down to the second could have easily provided this evidence, right?

More serious than any hypothetical threats from Ontario are the current threats in Inverness - namely the LSF. Even the most fanatical Xenos pale in comparison to these guys. They're here for the kill, that's for certain.
