Well, I did promise a concept, so here we are... Why build and model all these various new transports for a glorified version of taking the bus, when you can merely equip said "bus" to your ship. Without further ado, I present the "Passenger Bus Cargo Pod" complete with built in Wi-Fi hotspots and HBO for those long treks. :D
This is the sort of thign I've been wanting. It's even a good way to justify transporitng passengers and cargo in the same ship - have pods for each! Which then doubles as an explanation for why the otherwise outdated Advanced Train (compared to local supertransports) is still in lawful service, it can simply switch cargo sections as needed....
A dedicated passenger transport would be nice in addition, but the pods should've been added long ago... and you're not the first person to put something together, IIRC. Not sure what happened last time.
Let's just put beds in the nuclear containers and then stuff the people in while using a normal train? It's funny how the simplest methods work both for gameplay and RP.
Perhaps we just need a passenger cargo pod?
"THE HULL HAS BEEN BREACHED AND THESCIENCEIS LEAKING OUT!"
I don't see what the problem with most transports carrying Passengers is. I'll carry them in my firefly just fine, the only ships where it doesn't make sense are Trains and Container transports, and the likes. But there are already ships available where it makes in-rp sense to carry passengers.
I also support the idea of 'passenger cargo pods' but I'm totally against the idea of cargo restrictions on what kinds of cargo each ship can carry. Sometimes you just have to roleplay the reasons that game mechanics cannot explain.
i dont know if it was already said here... But the trains can have passenger pods not "green pod" but one that will fit the transportation of the passengers or other human cargo.. slave pods and so on

I figure I'd add a billboard-like structure for advertising or merely a OS&C logo and a couple antennas. It's a VERY rough concept, and by no means to scale.
