We are contacting you today on a less tasteful matter. A Captain of the Samura subsidiary operating Impala Station in Shikoku reached out to us regarding a rather problematic incident. Despite the outlandish claims surrounding the Vice-Admiral's flagship and their own installations staff, we see ourselves forced to take this matter seriously. Inter-Keiretsu frictions are not exactly news and the Empire so far tolerates those so long as they remain of low intensity and do not obstruct the Empire in any considerable way.
While we cannot verify who started this act of violence, we cannot accept this blatant show of lacking dignity and respect to both the Imperial Stellar Codex and the public image of the Empire. An actual firefight to the bitter end in front of Libertorians on Deshima Station and the Renzu Liner Yards, potentially obstructing normal trade. This is an utter disgrace and unworthy of a Keiretsu subsidiary - or as a matter of fact any upstanding Kusari citizen.
In the light of ongoing legal disputes with the Republic of Liberty and the questionable actions by Deep Space Engineering recently, we urge you to take a step back and at least try to mediate your efforts alongside Samura Industries and its subsidiaries. This also applies to Samura subsidiaries, of course. Domestic rivalry can only be tolerated to the point it threatens national interests.
Naturally, we cannot leave such behavior without a firm warning and punishment. The Bureau considers it appropriate if Ionic Incorporated paid the Blue Mackerel Industries company a sum of 150.000 credits and transfer one standard Hegemon-class cargo hold of Platinum Ore to the refineries on Impala Station. Further incidents occuring within the territory of the Empire between the two companies - regardless of the initiator - will face severe punishments next time.

Esteemed Secretary Tanigaki,
I've received my own reports of the incident in question. The initial circumstances are somewhat murky, it appears to have begun in relation to a mining dispute in the Galileo system.
Regardless, such disputes should have been left at the door to civilized space. I may need HR to put together a mandatory course on corporate relations for some of our more overeager crews.
We have transferred the requested sum to the account linked with the unfortunate mining vessel involved in the incident.
They may consider investing it in their security division; if their impotence in the face of a minor corporate skirmish is anything to judge by, I shudder to imagine how they would fare against the some of the more serious pirate forces operating in the Liberty border.
As for the material compensation, this may be more difficult to arrange, since their station has a habit of opening fire upon our vessels if approached.

We appreciate your willingness and understanding to try and avoid future incidents of this nature.
In relation to the material transfer, we will abstain from coordinating this ourselves and leave this to both companies to handle. For your convenience, this channel has been opened to BMI representatives.
