Ah yes, this was sad to hear Miss Wolfe. However, the Sentinel did not target you, nor did it intent ill harm to anyone in the vicinity, that is why the Sentinel has been instructed to jettison all assets, and by assets I mean ammunition and weaponry prior to a core implosion, or a planetary re-entry.
This protocol is in place to make sure that no live ammunition harms anyone on the ground, its safer to salvage them while in space.
We apologize if any harm came to you or your vessel.
We have looked into why the core cooling systems had ruptured, it appears we may have a saboteur on the station, or the sensors are faulty again. But the latter cannot be so since it had a new sensor and communication system a month ago.
We hope these issues will be ironed out post haste, and we will find the gremlin involved in the Sentinel's malfunction.

*Professor shouting in the background*
"What!? You found the 167 and you let it get away!? How can you people be so useless!?"
"Uh Professor, the microphone is on..."
"Oh balderdash!"
"Ahem, I've been hearing that our little lost Sentinel found its way back, pretending to be unique and with a purpose and whatnot. Its got a purpose! Obey the LPI and protect Liberty civilians from various dangers!
To all LPI ships, you WILL find this Sentinel 167, track it down, and capture it. According to reports, it's seen all the Houses, even the Outcasts and Corsairs homeworlds! This is valuable information, and we must learn how it has progressed as an AI in its development with no maintenance. This will be good news for the Navy in long range carrier escorts.
We have also detected numerous messages from the 167 going to all of our Sentinels, even decomissioned ones. The message was deleted, but it reached all the Sentinels. Keep a VERY close eye on them.
For now, all Sentinels will operate as normal, treat them as such. They'll have a memory hole of about a day thanks to the stupidity of one lost drone.
Good news everyone! We are in progress with installing new fusion cores into the Sentinel 100 series and the 300 series models. This means that they expel much more wasted energy that we can shunt into weapon systems! We are now in the works in upgrading the weapons from the accurate and fast Vengeance class, to the hard hitting Magma Hammers!
The first vessel to receive such an update was the Sentinel 101 today, and was engaged in heavy combat, and despite it coming back heavily damage, it inflicted much more damage, and lasted a lot longer in the field of combat!
This bodes well for the 100 series, and Sentinel 101 is leading the way, despite its rather peculiar manners... and humour emulator it claims to have.
Anyway, run along now children, we've got work to do!
Good news everyone! We apologize for the lack of updates regarding our Sentinel series. But frankly, its cause there was little to inform you about!
But we do have updates for the entire Sentinel series today to share with you, lovely tax payers of Liberty that help fund the now state owned program!
Sentinel 100 series "Liberator class"
The Sentinel 100's that fly the Liberator class fighter, have had a major overhaul in their software, sensor and processor hardware. This in turn makes them more reliable, less prone to malfunctions and have better efficiency with their Magma Hammer weapon systems. We are still working out the bugs when it comes to natural occurring Ion Storms however that are plaguing us as of late.
Sentinel 201 Alpha "Anvil Gunboat class"
This Sentinel has been relocated to the Texas planet side facilities until further notice as we have found a massive problem with its logic core, its engines and weapon systems after a devastating skirmish with a large group of criminal bombers. The new upgrades will include new weaponry, an improved OS and better sensor systems.
Sentinel 300 series "Upholder bomber class"
The bombers of the Sentinel series have undergone the biggest upgrades. They are no longer designated as the Mini Razor weapon systems are no longer compatible with the new plasma injectors of the Upholders. However, due to the loss of these the entire weapon system of the Sentinel 300's have been completely replaced with new G2 LS82-1 "Render" Energy Cannon systems. Also, with the new plasma injectors, we have been able to place a Nova Torpedo launcher on a trail basis, but may be replaced with a cruise disruptor system, and paired with that is the Sentinel modified AN-3 "Supernova" Antimatter Cannon. We finally managed to get the 300 series to fire that cannon without overloading.
That is it for the updates with the Sentinel's ladies and gentleman. I do hope that they serve you with greater zeal.
Bad news everyone, the Sentinel's have been shut down for the time being. Yes, there was a link between the explosion at the LPI HQ on Washington continent on Planet Manhattan, but we believe hostile forces were to blame for the malfunctioning Sentinel unit.
Sentinel 101 has been almost completely destroyed, and we are combing the continent for the remains of the unit.
Any salvage of the Sentinel 101 Liberator must be turned into the authorities for inspection, failure to do so will be a felony under the Naval Confidentiality laws.
Again, the Sentinels are offline for now, if you see one in space, we advise caution immediately.
Signed
Professor Hubert Farnsworth.
