I went down onto the flight deck today to take another look at her, shes a beauty. Fast, slick a real rollercoaster ride. Met Davis down there, man was he jealous. We might have been evenly matched in the selection but there is no way he could have handled this mission. I just hope I dont let anyone down. Just got to remember, Im not out there to cause trouble or blow stuff up!
Thankfully my first recon should be an easyone, more of a test flight really. Gotta head out into Kepler and recon the trade lanes through to the Shikoku JG. Taylor has got the Xeno patrols ready to pick up my system transmission and relay it back to base, shame we dont have a comms link that can send messages system to system.
If I am lucky I might spy a tasty Transport for the boys to pick up, how cool that would be on my first run.
Great, just great. What a first flight. Geez someone needs to tell my 'flyboy' buddies I am out there. Made it to Shikoku JG no problems, Id'd a couple of juicy transports no problems. Heading back through Ames research and 3 of my 'so called' buddies decide they are gonna disrupt the trade lane and try and 'take out' a synth food transport!! Great timing, put me right in the middle of it, so much for dont engage unless neccessary, man was this neccessary. Just took 2 of thier fighters out and out pops a Massive DSE transport and a freelancer hawling plutonium, thankully they didnt give me any trouble and I managed to fly out. Unfortunately they would have been a great target for the Fighter group waiting at Shikoku JG but thanks to my 3 'buddies' any chance of that was blown. I ended up flying back to Nome base to get my busted thruster fixed. What a start!!
Get to head down for a de-brief, should be fun, bet Davis is stoked
