Type: Ship Stats / Infocard / Systems / Effects / Equipment / Commodity / Server Config (choose one)
Bug: After this lats patch, I'm unable to follow the waypoints on trade lanes, despite it shows the path but after passing the firs twaypoint, don't pass for the second one, and still shows the first one.
Reproduction Steps:
  • Step 1 - set path on trade lanes
  • Step 2 - dock on the firs way point
  • Step 3 - continue on the trade lane way down, but the first way point is still on, and don't change to the next one.

Additional Information: Only happens on trade lanes, normal waypoints work fine.

It happens since times of Freelancer Vanilla, i think is because how this "Waypoints actually work" sometimes (or what i belive) is that the ship don't "touch" the Waypoint Area, remaining active and since you take the TL it could pass it at some speed is not "detected"

It is a very very old bug related how waypoint and ship position works, and it happen to me even in Vanilla because of that, you could find sometimes even happen on a Jumpgate, instead just delete the waypoint and continue your path ...

Probably is fixable, but that is a very very old bug, and sweeping into Vanilla code and try to fix it could bring more problems than letting it pass sometimes in a manner ...

I concur, it's happening to me right now. Apologies for commenting, but I just wanted to let ya know that I planned on writing a post about it, but I thought it was on my end, but apparently, not. So yeah. Maybe it was because of yesterday's racing implementation system? Anyway, I'm confirming that I have the same issue on my end.

I recorded the problem (timestamp included) (video: 40 seconds)

sorry my friend but no! with the same char on the same place, i had one time all went fine, but not the others. strange things i can add ... for example on a long trade lane, the waypoint stays behind but suddenly goes to the right spot. also when it is more than one system, after passing the jump gate, the waypoint it is where it should. also happens once, that i had to dock on base, because a small real life situation, and when i undock it was all fine. also tested with other chars on diferent locations and it is the same. at the begining i tough it was something about the event, but saw nothing about it, so i made this report.

i don't use this often on trade lanes, is more on one because i leave at the end to a jump hole, and that way it is easier.

Aingar ... i already said several times that you are the man and i thank you for your work ... but ... well so i took this ship for some trade lanes and all worked well, even some that today failed, and then i took it by the one i really use the waypoints, and for the start all fine, but then ... it failed again! it is from kyushu jumpgate to tau 29,first waypoint is from kyushu side, and then to Nago. it usually fails after the jumpgate when and the start at the trade lane.

i don't know if there is something with the patch for the event, because started after that, but it is because of that, m8 don't waste your time and after the event over all return to normal Smile

flew a few times on the place that happened most of the times, and now all works fine Smile
