I wanted to thank you again for yesterday. Among the transport vessel captains I’ve encountered, you were one of the few who were so open to conversation. It surprised me, and in the end, I guess you made quite an impression.
As I mentioned, I will stick around and might even serve as an escort pilot for your vessel. Just give me a poke, and I’ll see what I can do. But I suppose you already have an idea of how light my schedule is from what I told you.

Lea, so nice to hear back from you!
It was a pleasure getting to know you, and I'm delighted that you'll be sticking around for awhile. After all you've been through, you really do deserve a bit of a rest and some time to recuperate. It's a little worrisome to see you insistent on flying around so quick after getting out of hospital, but I understand the irrepressible lust for adventure even if you and I pursue it in different ways. Regardless, I'm looking forward to getting to spend some more time together. I'll be sure to let my fellow captains know that you're a reliable escort pilot as well.
I've talked with Kanagawa's administration and, in my downtime, used the company's discretionary budget to purchase some second-hand exercise equipment from a reseller in Arimatsu-Town on Honshu. It should be good enough for the crew to maintain muscle tone -- always a concern in space environments, even with gravity generators aboard, as I mentioned -- and while it certainly isn't professional rehabilitative stuff, I do hope it helps you out for as long as you're staying with us. I'm not quite sure where we're actually going to put it all, but I'm told that the visitor centre holo-map should be updated within the next few hours or so. Needless to say, you're more than welcome to rent the room for as long as you like. I'm sorry if it's a little barebones at the moment, but as we've already got shipments coming and going, attention is rapidly turning to the internals of the station and making sure they're up to par with our own expectations. At least your shower should work!
The bar on Kanagawa won't be open for another week at least, but if you'd like to get a drink sometime, I've found a delightful little spot in Arimatsu. Until then, please take care of yourself!

Your hospitality is really refreshing. If you have time to invite me to a bar in Arimatsu, I suppose you are not as busy as I imagined. I still forget Caledonia is different from the main branch of Gateway. I guess going out won't hurt.
Before you consider me as a reliable pilot, even if I told you some adventures I had, you need to see me in action, no? Or maybe, the politics of Caledonia is less strict as I believed. I am looking forward how Kanagawa Shipping Platform will grow and I guess I should thank you for the purchase you did. But if you want my opinion, nothing beats the outdoor activities. Doing my exercises on New Berlin with a cool weather and just a little snow misses me and I lost that. One day, I will maybe return there, but only when the time will come.
In any case, don't worry, the shower works just fine. If you need anything, you know how to reach me.

It's hardly as if Caledonia are slavedrivers. We all get plenty of time off, and so long as the essentials are taken care of, contracts are being fulfilled, and the company and our division is in the green, any extra shipments we run are essentially at our leisure since we get a reasonable commission on them.
The relaxed policies and the generous pay aren't entirely out of our investors' goodwill, mind -- it's just that you catch more flies with honey than with vinegar. When we feel well-treated, which we do since we are, motivation is that much higher to ensure the important contracts are closed in the shortest amount of time, and the added flexibility often sees our captains taking on impromptu contracts with smaller, local entities that go unnoticed by the bigger shippers -- as such, we end up putting through about the same volume anyway. There's a whole management and even life philosophy behind all of this, but you probably don't want me to go into all that right now!
Anyway, I'd quite like to see your work in action of course, but for your own sake I do think it's best if you don't go out scrapping for fights just yet. You don't have to listen to me, naturally, but genuinely, I really do think you ought to take some time to heal and make sure you can withstand intense G-forces again, get to know the people in the area for a bit, and whenever we cross paths in space we can spend some time together and make sure you're not losing money on the room, yes? Like I said, generosity in business and in life often returns itself.
Speaking of spending some time together, I'll be taking a shuttle to the planet pretty shortly once some more errands here are attended to. I'll shoot you my coordinates when I'm groundside -- how about we do a little exploring together?

While I am more likely willing to go on 'exploration' with you, there's a matter I need to deal with. You remember my vessel, right? It's illegal in Kusari and well, the Naval Operations Headquarters are quite strict. Not only they want my criminal records, but they also want me to have a benefactor just to prove that I am unaffiliated. I swear... all those procedures just for a license...
Anyway, either you take me with you or we do this on Kanagawa. Maybe we can also work on something to satisfy them.

Well, that's a bother. You've mentioned how much your ship means to you, so I'd think giving it up certainly isn't an option. I don't imagine Bretonia would take much more kindly to the model either, not that I'd recommend you -- or anyone who doesn't have to, really -- go there in the first place. Most of Kanagawa's visitors are transports rather than smallcraft, so just one docking bay taken up for awhile shouldn't be too much of an issue.
Give me a few hours and I'll stop by your room, see if I can't help you brainstorm a way get your licence. I'll even bring some drinks with me, and we'll knock out two errands at once. Sound mint?

I was wondering... I am almost done with the licensing procedure for my Odin MK I and all I need is a formal agreement between Caledonia and I. We both talked about this the other day. I can be an escort pilot however I feel it. Can you make it formal on a paper or something?
I'd appreciate this a lot. If you do and if I can, I will take you company during your shift as a thank you.

Lea, so sorry about the inordinate delay. As you surely know, I pride myself on being able to get back to everyone quickly, and especially so if it means I can help you out.
I've written up a document here expressing Caledonia's endorsement of you as an escort pilot, and since you indicated it needed to be an agreement, you'll be bound to give priority to contracts from us over third parties when within Kusari, excepting calls for assistance from the Naval Forces or State Police. In return, your room on Kanagawa is yours for a one-year lease at twenty per cent less per week than what you're paying now, with no early cancellation fees. This should make it clear that not only are we willing to sponsor you, but we value your services -- which we do!
I'm sorry I haven't been around as much lately, business in the Sigmas has been calling me, but I should be returning to Kanagawa within a few days. Please take care of yourself!
