The more common use of the term '3d Modelling' usually means modelling is involved. Eg. Creating the model yourself in a modelling program and then putting it into the game as a custom object.
This is whacking already ingame models/modules together to create a station.
So it isn't really 3d Modelling, it's more general system modding really.
Doesn't mean it's bad though, far from it. A good amount of work went into this it seems.
I have a few points though.
1. The ring is broken at the joints where the two modules are connecting, they technically aren't connected.
2. Having the shipyard in the middle of the ring makes no sense from a logical standpoint. Yes Freelancer stations as a whole aren't at all logical but in the end they try to look more logical. Unfortunately, this looks like the Battleship will either have huge trouble manuevering out of the dock or it will simply smash through the ring, killing most on it:P
3. The module sticking up is out of place. Why is there a long connecting tunnel to a module that could be so much closer?
4. The connections to the shipyards are well done.
5. The biodomes are a nice touch but would suit a more lonely station really, in an empty or very un-populated system.
6. Putting an incomplete battleship in the docking bay would work better.
maybe switching the inner constructionyard and the tower's place would improve it, giving it a much more logical form (but i still think that tower is just to long, even if its for those solar panels)

No, if you look at it, there's a third modul connected to those two on the Ring in NB.
