I flew an AI fighter briefly in SP, and hated the noise. But, I must agree that it gives it a certain uniqueness.
Would it be possible to replace the sound with a different, just as unique but less annoying noise?

Be kinder than necessary, because everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle.

Perhaps make the sound just play ONLY when it is actually moving forward?
