My user account was erased on this computer, but the files were kept. After the creation of my new user account, i put the files i kept, in the new user. Now after all the updates and stuff for freelancer were downloaded, i could play the game. But i had to start from scratch. So i remembered the freelancer files i kept (which was only Accts -> Multiplayer, and singleplayer) So i did the "search" thing for Freelancer in general. When i found the file Freelancer -> Accts -> singleplayer, i removed the Accts that was already there, and replaced it with the Accts i had kept. That didn't work... So i looked through the other files and stuff and didn't see any other Accts. And then decided to ask some people here on disco!
Any suggestions?
you reloaded an export file into FLMM? Or you reloaded the registry entry backups? These are only two ways i know of to save acounts other than write down the account ID.
I think what he means the directory 'Documents\My Games\Freelancer\Accts'. That contains SP savegames. There is a "Multiplayer" directory in there, but that saves characters on a server. Yes, that's right. Characters are stored serverside and this directory won't help you preserve your characters on the Discovery server.
For that you need to save your account, either by writing down the account number or using Freelancer Account Manager.
