I fly under the Unioner banner and stick (quite rightly) to the spirit of the Union Code. What I would like however; would be to buy the Unioner / LWB Photon Cannon called "Guardian" (cat9) to replace my "Protector IV"s. Can I find a base selling this? No I can't. Can I surrepticiously "pick one up" after some poor soul has an accident? Nay, Nay sir! So; if any like minded pir... er I mean freedom fighter struggling to throw off the yolk of the oppressor knows of a salesman who has such a gun for sale, I would be eternally grateful.

The only gun named GUARDIAN is a 3.03 refire rate Codename weapon level 10. Protector IVs are the best Unioner weapon around (and they aren't too shabby, if you don't mind me saying). Destroyers are also the best Landwirtrechtbewegung weapon around, and they are not very shabby either.
I do believe Frau Eva would approve of a Unioner getting some Destroyers or Eliminators, if you'd like those. Of course, if you prefer Protectors, than that is your prerogative.

These are only on guard NPCs. Most guard NPCs have them to make them uberpowerful to destroy intruders.
So - unavailable eh? How mean is that! The Mollys can have their Guard weapons as can corsiar, outcast, Liberty Navy, Bounty Hunter etc etc - why not the Rhineland Revolutionaries? Might I suggest that they become available to LWB and Union Guard faction at some point in the future?
Err.. the Guardian Photon Blasters are universal. They're called Guardian because they can be found on Faction Guard NPCs. They cannot be bought by anyone, they're only present to make the guard systems more dangerous.
From all I know, the Guardian cannons are half-obsolete since whenever guard systems get overhauled, they seem to be replaced by the appropriate faction guns. And since they've been rebalanced, that makes lots of sense.
With that in mind, if you look at the numbers (per sec):
Guardian blaster:
Damage 2940 Energy 2940 Speed 700
Protector Mk IV:
Damage 2000 Energy 416 Speed 600
Destroyer:
Damage 1970 Energy 546 Speed 700
While it hurts a lot, it has an untenable power usage. With that in mind, either the Protector Mk IV or the Destroyer would probably be better suited for usage. Though I hear the PHOENIX works well alongside Protectors.
