I prefer a chat messageing system that you don't have to
refresh manually to see what other people have posted.

I don't mind the extra firefox window, but Firefox itself can
eat up lots of memory if you haven't set it so.

Sorry. The interface feels clunky compared to other things.
IRC, MSN, Xfire, even Skype, in all it's resource hogginess works better.

IMHO.

You don't have to refresh at all. It is lightning fast and is simple and user friendly.

Lot's of peole don't use skype and a lot of new players will not. Not to mention family pcs where its blocked. Its a good idea.

Ugh, Skype. It sucks as a chat program. I wish we all used something much better, but alas, our inertia will continue us using Skype.

I think you are missing the point here, my friend. 90% of disco members use Skype, are in faction and general chats, but there is One major reason we haven't made a Discovery chat.
