As barracouda, I am neutral to the outcasts. However, I encountered 3 of them in daggers today. It said Outcast - Dagger. Then 15 seconds later they transformed to Lane Hackers of the same ship and level, and attacked me since I was hostile to them. 3 outcasts level 7 in daggers got equally converted to 3 Lane hackers level 7 in daggers!

Are you sure it wasn't just a different patrol? Did their weapons change as well?

i happen to know that the normal level 7 dagger hackers shoot blue guns, but they were shooting the red ones that outcasts use at that level.

I know my NPCs.
