I've started building a scavenger character, who is pretty neutral. He's going to be a primarily non-combat type craft, but he flies a refurbished Executioner that he hauled out of the remains of a Rheinland-Liberty skirmish, finding the pilot dead. I was thinking of Junker tagging him, and pretty much just flying around Sirius, exploring. So, I was wondering,

Using the Junker tag, I was going to mount mostly junker weapons, and "salvaged" weapons from other factions. Is this legal? I wouldn't really be shooting at people, only in defense. I haven't seen any ships like this flying around, and I thought I'd give it a try.

If you'll have them at 50% of their health I'ld agree.:D
Also, that means you would probably not have the highest class weaponry to start with..

I did something simmilar with few junkers taking the bretonnia gunboat from salvage yard and making something of it, joining the polices. I had some transport turrets, big ass gun on front and some lvl 4 civillian turrets. Regular mk VI armor on it, and lamest thruster ever.

if you want a "salvaged" salvager, it better become one.

Well, according to the Laws of Liberty, Executioners are sold publicly, so the LN and LSF (or at least the official factions) can't go after you for it.

The question then becomes one of if the Executioner is Liberty Civilian (due to the above RP reasoning) or Liberty Navy - if it's the former, you're green. The latter, not happening.

Get an admin ruling on it, and point out the Laws of Liberty post - it's under Theft of a Navy Snub Vessel.

You can use the executioner as it's not a restricted military craft, and you're not using an ID hostile to the liberty navy.

However, you can only equip weapons on the ship which are junker, civilian, or otherwise agree with the Junker ID via the equipment use guidelines.

no one will call you a pvpwhore if you are using barragers and flashpoints, especially in the same weapons group.

I'll probably not be shooting up Sirius, since I have a less-than-average ship, and low-class Junker guns.
