@ Seth Karlo: I didn't start this Seth. The only thing that got me riled up was the comment by darthbeck. Had that not happened, I woulda just read this thread and maybe moved along.
@ darthbeck: If the guy you directed the joke at is not laughing ... it wasn't funny. I suggest you delete the comment ... when you do, I'll clean up my posts in suite so everyone can go back to enjoying this thread. As for my "purchase plan" idea ... you're not the only arms dealer I've encountered. I've basically given up trying to convince anyone to role play with me on this ... nobody's interested so I've dropped it. I'll get the blasted stuff myself ... which if it means me staying up till about 3am my time or taking a day off work then I suppose that's what I'll have to do. Now ... just delete the offending post where you called me out and the subject will be dropped.
@ Nighthawk: Please go back and read your comment directed at me again. I responded directly to THAT post. Rather than helping matters, you've added another log to the fire. All darthbeck needs to do is delete the offending post ... or at least the portion that calls me out.
' Wrote:I got an idea. Why not randomize which wreck drops which code? That'd make it fun and, well, random.
If it can be done, that is.
Yeah!...
There should be some parameters, such as more drops for Junkers and such factions, via ID,...
Also it should become more random, no longer should the codes restart every 24 hours, but in a bit diffrent way, it should be a bit like minning, with say 1% chance that when you find a wreck it drops a code, most often it should just drop some scrap and lvl 9's and such. Perhaps ammunition. so codes should regen every 1 hour or so... and a chance for a code drop should be small, and even at that it should be random wich code actually drops.

well guys as far as pricing goes, they should be sold at fair market value. just let it be a fair open market and the price will establish itself. if people wanna pay that much, then the dealer will make that much. if he over charges, then he wont sell any. another dealer can undercut his price. i mean thats kinda fun! that really goes along with the freelancer aspect of the game, everyone out there to make a buck.
now as far as power goes, all the codies seem to be low refire-high power guns, which get fewer hits and a higher damage per hit. well maybe we can introduce some new light fighter guns that are kinda the opposite. like a really really high speed, and at least 8.33 refire, but the power is relatively low per shot. thatll keep the codies powerful weapons worthy of dealers selling, but the light fighters guns really accurate which given their agility they should be able to take advantage of.
I belive my prices are fair and and many people dont mind the prices and understand. As for the market being astablished, I think it has been. If you average the Work needed/Time required to get them + the average sales from the other compettitors you will see this a trend. Indeed you might think to your self " Aww prices high!" well by all means get them cheeper. Also if i remember from way back when, the prices were about the same.
I would also add that due the recent updates on the bomber class vessels it has affected the industry.
I'm going to let the cat out of the bag here.
The most successful weapon dealers are so because we work in secrete to inflate the price of code name weapons on the general market.
Price fixing is real and you can do nothing about it. Where's my money at?

Greed> Undercutting. I can sell Archies at 25 Mil apiece and still have enough people buying.
People will always charge gigantic amounts. Blame Pricefixing

Heavy flashpoint. And look how much thats used.
