Prince DeFrance stood in front of an assembled assortment of men and women of the Gallic Royal Navy.
Amongst the group were some of the finest pilots the Prince has ever flown with. Today was a good day, the Battle of Tournus Path, was a victory for the Royal Navy, as well as a Morale boost. Despite two fine ships being heavily damaged.
"By order of the Prince, Joseph Martius DeFrance," A short chubby man said into the microphone. "The following men of the Crown will receive one of the Crowns highest medals, The Prince Joseph Medal of Glory. For their victory, and willing sacrifice for the Crown, and their people. He paused and glanced over at Joseph, who nodded for him to continue.
"Duke Josef Moreau."
The Duke strolled up to the podium, and gave a bow to Joseph, then stood tall and proud as Joseph pinned the medal of glory on his chest. After another bow, the crowd clapped, Moreau stepped off to the side, next to Joseph.
"Comte Blasie Mersenne"
Comte Mersenne gracefully approached the podium, bowing before Joseph. He stood straight as Joseph pinned the medal of glory to his chest. After another bow, Mersenne approached the Duke and shook hands before hurrying back to his seat in the crowd, it was a well known fact that Mersenne was scared of Joseph.
"Comte Henri Blanc"
Another Comte, Henri Blanc, gracefully strolled up to the podium, and took a bow before Joseph. Standing straight he smiled lightly. Joseph just raised an eyebrow and went on his way pinning the medal to his chest. The Comte bowed once more and shook hands with the Duke, heading off back to his seat next to Mersenne.
"Comte Mathieu Archambault"
A third Comte stood up, Mathieu Archambault, would have to be the second of the Prince's favorite out of the Archambault family. He strolled up to the podium, his smile vanished as he saw the Prince glaring at him. With a gulp he bowed lightly infront of Joseph and stood back up straight, Joseph held back a laugh and forced a smile away. Pinning the Medal on Mathieu's chest, Joseph nodded for Mathieu to take his leave. Mathieu nodded and shook his hands with the Duke, and returned to his seat.
"Knight Eugene Archambault"
Eugene stood up, stretching for a moment before heading quickly up to the podium. He bowed before the Prince, who gave a light nod. Standing straight he waited as the Prince pinned the medal to his chest. Eugene gave another bow and stepped off the stage after shaking hands with the Duke.
"Knight Zane Lumiere"
Zane Lumiere stood up and held his chin high as he approached the podium. Joseph nodded, as the cocky Knight bowed before him, standing back up he held his military barring as Joseph pinned the medal to his chest, and whispered, "Next time don't get that close to the station." Joseph patted Zane on the shoulder. After a minute, Zane bowed once more then shook hands with the Duke and exited off the stage.
The Short chubby man gave the microphone to Joseph.
"Men and Women of the Crown of Gallia. These pilots have shown bravery, glory, commitment and compassion during this war. Their actions at the Battle of Tournus path has proved itself greatly. Council ships charged the open space near the lanes, and these proud men held their ground. Forcing the enemy to retreat." He paused and a smile, one that didn't scare people, came to his lips. "With that said, drinks are on me. Long live the Crown.
An abrupt wave of applause roared through the hangar. Joseph handed the microphone back to the Chubby man who dismissed the men and women. Many of which hurried out towards the bar, awaiting the Prince for their well deserved drink.
