Good fighter or bomber pilots can evade missiles at least 50% of the time, however they have a hard time shooting back when they are doing this.

I have an Orca and I mount one missile on the 360 degree middle turret mount for just this reason, to allow me some breathing room and to regen shields after being hit with a SNAC etc.

When going against pilots that have trouble evading missiles a single missile launcher is excellent to lower shields on a fighter/bomber and allow a fatal razor or main gun hit.

I've tried 2 missiles before and it's great against NPC's but I've found them a waste of energy against bombers and GB's. Energy better directed towards razors and pulses.

You also get criticized for using even a single missile mount sometimes... Which I think is silly. If you have weapons that are allowed to be on your ship and are effective you should use them.

That aside...

Dual missiles are okay, I suppose, but when a dual missile Orca (rest Solaris) dies to a single Barghest, I think I need to take a break from my Barghest. (See sig >.>)

I am looking at it from a gameplay perspective and see it as balancing GBs to VHFs/Bombers. Isn't their role to take those down?
I said you don't know what YOU're talking about, not what I'm talking about. I'm saying your "missile spam iz epicz lawl" isn't the point of this thread, nor even something the community would want. The GB role is pretty much to take down fighters, but get pwn't by bombers. Battleships should be able to kill one or two bombers but get owned by a fleet of bombers and cruisers. Gunboats are support craft. They should do as such.

I still haven't made it back to norfolk yet to get them damn missiles. Damn my want to RP a Zoner gunboat xD
