I do know that there is a rule for type of shield that some ship's can carry
but i know that the Armored transport uses frigate shield's and Gunboat shield can be mounted aswel

So, My Question is.... Is it against the rules if i mount a gunboat shield on the armored transport
Becouse if i would transport importand equipmant or tranfering VIP's i need the best protection that there could be

As I see it, if you armour your transport as a gunboat, it becomes one, and therefore is not subject to the
server pirating rules. Pay your money and take your chance on that, as it can't mount GB weapons.
So anyone using those little glitches when arming and armouring their ships need to think further than the
extra bullet-proofing.

Oke, Good point

But i dont know if the shield mounting is an glitch, becouse the ship cant be equiped with good turrets
And even so the Armored Transport fly's much MUCH more wurs than a Large Train and it gets disrupted very easy
And gets killed in a instand by pirates than a train

But i want just to make sure bevore i create such charr with that ship
Becouse i dont know if there is a list for exeptions for some types

But its a pity then for me

Like Hoodlum said, in an RP point of view attaching Gunboat weapons or sheilds to a Transport class ship makes it a Gunboat. As far as I know, it's out of RP to use Gunboat equipment on a Transport-class ship if you have a Trader ID or similar, because the ID doesn't allow you to use Gunboats. Maybe if you're part of a Police or Navy faction then it would be alright, as those IDs allow Gunboats to be used.

Personally, I don't think it's a glitch, though.

Good point Thomas, and one I let slip my mind. Trader ID is definately not an option either. Faction colours
to suit your RP would have to be worn fair and square with ship limitations carefully checked on your chosen
ID. Gunboat status comes at a price ...
