I loaded the discovery mod and it worked fine the first day and now when I launch freelancer i get the discovery splash screen and then the game closes. I've tried turning the mod off and back on with no change. It doesn't give me any kind of error message. I only played in SP mode the first day. Any tips?

In this case I would reinstall Freelancer and run the mod again.

Totally right, haven't found another fix for it to date.

Guess I forgot to mention in my original post that I did a fresh instal to begin with. Any other ideas? Is there any kind of error log kept that I could look at or c/p here?

Perhaps clean your registry?
Uninstall, do that, then reinstall again.
Activate the mod, and hope to the Moon God that it works:D

What mod manager you got?

-- Edit: Maybe a savedgame is corrupted happends alot when mods are activated and deactivated. FLMM should have a option to delete all autosaves.

I usually keep my registry trimmed down, weeded out, and all pretty like. I'm using FLMM 1.3 because i read somewhere that 1.4 was buggy.

EDIT: There were no auto saves and I deleted the manual save (had only played maybe an hour or so anyways) and the game still crashes.

It seems his game crashes before he can enter the main menu. right?
3D sound fixes the issue when you jump to a other system and then it crashes.

Although maybe it's just your mod that is corrupted? Or whatever. Maybe download it again and re add it to you FLMM. And again reinstal freelancer. If it won't work then. then... I think I can't help anyfurther.
