I've just reinstalled Freelancer and everytime I enter the multiplayer it appears as if I'm entering the game for the first time and "creates" an account for me. The account's code is always the same.
Now, I don't want to type in the account code everytime I wish to play on an account that is not my first one... How do I fix this?
But it's like it doesn't even matter what account I select, because everytime I enter FL, it looks as if I entered it for the first time... Like it would reinstall itself everytime I exit/ enter it.
I have 3 different accounts and before I reinstalled, all worked just fine.
The only problem is that the game is -not recognising any of the accounts- and so when I log on the multiplayer, asks me to create a new account. So no matter what account I choose in the FAM, the game just doesn't recognise that I even have an account so I have to type in the codes for accounts manually if I want to change accounts.

When Freelancer tries to create the new account, have you accepted the new account creation, or have you always exited the game instead, without creating the new account?

Nah, still an XP user. Could it be that I saved the FAM in the wrong folder or something? I have it on the default C:\Program Files and my FL on the D drive. (although I can launch the game from FAM)
And note that when at first, I tried to run the mod in the mod manager, but when I tried to activate it, it's shown me an error message, so I just pasted the whole mod in the game folder and replaced the original data with the mod one, since I don't use other mods anyway. It worked for me before.
As you could probably guess by now, I'm pretty much hopeless with these technicalities, so I probably made a blatantly obvious mistake somewhere in the process, so if no-one can point it out, I'll just re-install again.
