I'm working on this stats:
Gun Mounts: 2*/4' [2* Main Guns because the RFP encounters Red Hessian/LWB/Outcast Gunships in they're zone of influence,4' to Mount Secondary Turrets [Anti-Fighter: Gunboat Turrets/Cerberus Gunboat Turrets]
I've maked a 2/4 Battle Rig to mantain a certain ''pair'' between the Other Lawfull/Unlawfull Gunboats of Other-Houses.

First off, that has no Rheinland touch to it at all, NONE, second, it has a larger out put then the Military gunboat, third, a POLICE gunboat costs more then a MILITARY gunboat? And I suggest for any future modelers if there is any, before you just start making stuff, spend time in the area your going to make the ship for.....it helps....

I would shorten the length of the engine and remove the insignia. The insignia can be textured onto the ship, the Rhienland Cross is in one of the texture files. I like the concept of the bridge down the bottom with the nose up the top, but the nose feels too thin, and when I think of Rhienland Ships I think blunt, brutal edges not curving points. That's more of a Kusari Capital ship feel.
Maybe there would not need to be a police gunship if the rheinland gunboat worked properly, right now it's sort of under-armed. I think that's the reason why you don't like it. Or isn't it?
The problem with the Rheinland GB is, that it's not good (enough) against fighters(/bombers), that's why the police requests a "smaller" (?) gunboat for their own uses. I like that idea. And yes, the Rheinland GB seems to be a bit "under-armed", the reason for that was mentioned above *points at Spazzydragons post*. Most time you effectivly fire only 5 of the turrets on a target in front of you, if the other pilot has just a bit of skills...or isn't dead...or didn't fell asleep...whatever.

Enough of the offtopic - I think the...(only picture I can see right now, since the other got deleted?!)...the gunboat shown above looks a bit too much like the original gunboat on the first sight. But...if it's smaller than the original one it might be nice. Let's see...mh...

Well I don't believe this is going anywhere, so further changes probably won't be needed.
But a counter point for your suggestions, (Not that they are bad, but there is a reason the items you mentioned are like this.) all rheinland cap ships have beveled rheinland crosses on them. From their gunboats to the battleships. Unless of course you mean the federal police emblem, which I agree it can be textured on, it is poly heavy for how small a detail it is but the model I think is sitting under 4k as is. So it's not a big big deal. But when I created it I was going for flare, in an attempt to impress. As for the nose, believe it or not it is actually thicker then the Rheinland gunboat nose. I based this model heavily off the vanilla freelancer RM gunboat, and I thought the same way you did. I didn't like a sharp edge so I tossed in an extra set of faces to give it depth. But it can always bee increased.
If I did end up finishing this I would shrink the engine part, I actually opened the model and played around with it, and cutting that part out almost completely I think improved the look greatly.
