either way, i don t think the BHG needs a heavier ship - IF the order| decides they need a heavy battleship instead of a cruiser. - if that happens.... the BHG can simply 2:1 them - or do what others do - shoot them down with a pair of bombers.

Just for the sake of an answer, I would say that your thesis works both ways. If we are to get a ship like that, then the Core could be, most likely, thankful, on the count of the fact that now, they too can create a Carrier class. And no, I'm not saying that they couldn't do it before.

Seems like this will just lead to more lolcaps and cap spam. What I would rather see is some new class of ships, something completely unique... But that's asking for too much I guess.

Uh, why do we need a Carrier? Unless the BHG are getting a big ship like this, then I don't really see the need, but nonetheless, I picked the ramming style one, just because...

I'm really tired of those crackheads in the BHG thinking that they should be equal in any way to the order. They arent even supposed to be one of our primary enemies, but the players have forced the issue to try and rationalize the BHG getting caps in the first place.

Besides, we're not "getting a carrier" - we already have a carrier, the geb. This is simply a replacement model which will go along with altering the geb's stats to make it fit in with a real shipclass instead of trying to be something unique that simply doesnt work as far as balance is concerned.

There's no need for a new class of ship, everything is covered already by the current shipclasses. Even if we did add something entirely new, it would get worn out within a month or two and people would be asking for something even 'newer' after that.

I voted for the second option. I kinda like the idea of the ship being able to ram another one RP wise as kind of a last ditch effort for the commander. But there's a rule against ramming capitals so yeah..

uhm.. i may not be the foremost on ship design, but if you intend a design based on raming, then you would probly want a more streamlined approach with room to cleave through.. at the moment it looks like the hangers ont he side could be smashed up into another ship it just cleaved through.. that being said.. i dont really like either. thought he pictures you posted both kinda look the same.

i'm just gonna vote non raming style though O.o
