[font=Fixedsys]This is Chief Guild Core Medical Officer Damian Jeremiah speaking, this log is to be an official record of all medical procedures carried out upon the newly appointed Guildmaster Azariah Kyras in relation to the requested experimental operations.
What we hope to achieve with the following procedures is the surgical implantation of nanotechnology and various pieces of micro-circuitry into the subjects neural cortex, the surgical altering of the subject's muscular structure at a genetic level and the augmentation of the subject's stem cells to continually produce enhanced cells. All of which have been previously tested on various animals and captured human subjects with astounding results.
The goal for first stage of these operations are to enhance the subject's mental concentration and cognitive processing levels by around 320%, the increasing of the subjects resistance to any and all forms of Xeno psychic manipulation (most commonly used by "Nomads") to the extent of him being almost totally resistant to any attempts at psychic influencing. The goals for the second stage of the operations is the increasing of the subjects physical stamina and strength by the same factor as that of his mental capacity, and to greatly enhance his body's capacity for self-healing. The second stage of the operation, which will involve fundamentally altering his gene code will, we hope, provide greatly improved cellular and genetic regeneration, and as such drastically increase the subjects expected lifespan, from around 100 years to anywhere from 500 years to possibly millennia, we quite simply cannot be certain.
(*NOTE: Also being prepared is a suit of powered body armour and targeting systems remotely connected to the implants in the subject's neural cortex, the armour will be required to be worn to utilise the full potential of the implants, and the targeting systems will be fitted to all the subject's vessels and connected to their main processing core, in essence giving him a psychic link to the ship's computer.)
The procedures in themselves should take no more than 48 hours to complete, with a recovery time of merely 2 weeks (due to the enhanced healing capacity of the altered cells), but with at least a month long rehabilitation program.
The subject should be arriving from the front lines in Omicron Delta within the week to begin the operations.
The subject will be in a state of almost complete bodily shutdown for the duration of the operations, his vital organs will be kept alive via external blood supplies and controlled artificially. They will be re-connected to the subject's own blood supply and nervous system once the operation is complete. This is necessary to ensure his neural cortex is not functioning during the operations, to minimise the time taken and the risk to the subject.
Should the goals of these operations be reached, and we are supremely confident they will be, we can begin tailoring the procedures to suit various subjects, and begin carrying them out on select elite Guild Core forces.

[font=Fixedsys]The Guildmaster arrived yesterday and has been fully briefed about the operations in their entirety, and what they will involve. He seems confident and undaunted by the proceedures about to be undertaken.
He has also been fully aclimatised to the conditions of the medical laboratory and has been thouroghly decontaminated to ensure the laboratory remains a "clean room", and to ensure that the risk of any infection is minimal to none.
My co-surgeons who will be working on the procedures have been fully briefed as to the nature of the operation, as well as to the severity of the implications for medical science, the science of anatomy as we know it, and above all, the fate of the traitor and xeno infested systems we live in should we succeed, and the equelly severe punnishments should we fail or compromise the health of the most exalted Guildmaster in any way.
Rest asured, by this time tomorrow the first stages of the operations should be underway, and with luck all should be going according to plan. Until then we will be finalising the operational procedures and preparing the laboratory for the operations themselves, as several insruments have had to be specifically made for the complex procedures we are going to undertake. We will also spend the time practicing the various stages of the operations, as my co-surgeons and I have not as yet been allowed into the laboratory for fear of contamination, so we have been practicing in a mock-up of the laboratory so as to get our bearings on the tools we will be using and the surroundings in which we will be doing these most delicate of tasks.
I shal be sure to make another entry just before the operations begin, and in a rest period we have been allowed half way through.

[font=Fixedsys]The operation is about to begin in under an hour and I only have a few minutes to make this entry, as I have to head to the decontamination chamber in a few minutes before entering the laboratory.
It is safe to say that I and all my fellow surgeons are extremely excited and very nervous about what we are about to undertake, given that the results could change our very understanding of medical science, and have an even more profound effect on the battlefield should we be successful.
Concerning the status of the Guildmaster, all his vital organs are currently attached to an artificial blood supply, his neural cortex has been disconnected from the rest of his internal organs and is currently non-functional in a state of stasis, and perfectly conditioned for the operation. Hopefully it should be re-connected with the rest of his body and functioning again within the next 48 hours. His skin has been almost completely removed to expose the muscles upon which we are to operate. I have had the privilege of seeing the laboratory in which the operation will take place, and apart from the myriad of tubes and wires attached to the subject's body, it looks fantastically advanced, and to a surgeon, almost a work of art, no doubt it must have cost billions of Credits to build.
I must depart now for the decontamination chambers, I shall deliver another log through the central base computer port in the laboratory, as during the operation, no one will be allowed in or out, and the room will be completely sealed and airtight, with what must be an entire battalion of elite guards stationed at every entrance.

[font=Fixedsys]It is almost 24 hours since we began the operation, and it is safe to say we are already exhausted, but more than capable of completing the task.
So far we have managed to complete the first stage of the operation, namely the implants into the subject's neural cortex, and it has gone extremely smoothly, in fact we could not have hoped for better. All the implants have been put in place without complication, and have adapted to their tasks just as they were expected to. Though we will have to wait another week at least before the subject is conscious again and able to prove whether or not the operations have been a success.
Now that the first stage is complete, we are moving onto the more laborious and intensely complex task of genetically altering the subject's muscle structure, with the addition of new lab-grown cells to begin the transformation. Then we will alter the genetic programming of the subject's stem cells, to produce copies of the lab-grown, genetically enhanced muscle cells that will eventually replace the subject's original muscle cells. This stage of the operation, while extremely complex and laborious, carries much less risk than the implantation work carried out on his brain. Given that the previous stage passed without a hitch, we are supremely confident that there will be no complications with this stage either, given that we have performed numerous genetic alteration projects on various prisoners, unwilling or not.
Once we are done with the second stage of the operation, it will just be a case of re-attaching his brain and central nervous system to his body and vital organs, removing the artificial blood supplies and nerve signals connected to his vital organs and re-attaching them to his heart and central nervous system. Then finally re-attaching his skin to his body, and leaving him in an artificially induced coma for the healing period, after which he should be completely healed, and just require rehabilitation, to get accustomed to his changed body. This process should not take much more than a month, after which the subject will experience the full benefit of the operations.
[font=Fixedsys][color=#66FFFF]Log entry complete. Program closing...
[font=Fixedsys]The operation is over at last, and thankfully without any complications, all has gone well and the subject's body is currently in an artificially induced coma for the purposes of healing un-disturbed, and it shall remain so for the next two weeks until he is fully healed and able to be awoken safely. Until that time, his body and brain will have its every function monitored to ensure all goes according to plan.
Even when the subject does wake up though, it will take his brain a while, we anticipate around a month, to fully adjust to the workings of the various implants he has received, his body however should take much less time to adjust to the new cells, however he may be dangerous for a short while until he can come to terms with the full extent of his new and greatly increased strength, speed, agility and general physical prowess.
As a precaution we have built a large solitary confinement cell that the subject will be kept in for the duration of his rehabilitation, to minimise the risk he could pose to others around him until he is back fully in control of his body.
As a side note, all the ships which the subject is responsible for, including one of the Guild Core's mightiest Battleships, the Retribution, have been connected to certain implants in his brain, so as to aid him in command and flight of the ships, as well as having the targeting systems of the ships he commands connected to his visual cortex and optical nerves, so he effectively sees holographic targeting crosshairs in battle. This, combined with his now greatly increased reaction time and ability to concentrate on almost a mechanical level should prove very effective in battle we hope, and perhaps some day every Guild Core soldier will have these advantages over our enemies.
As for now, i am going to go and catch up on two days worth of missed sleep...
[font=Fixedsys][color=#66FFFF]Log entry complete. Program closing...
[font=Fixedsys]It has been two weeks since the operation was completed, the entirety of that time has been spent monitoring the subject's vital signs, in particular his neural pathways and brain wave activity, which all seem fine, and regularly scanning his muscular tissue to make sure his new cells are adjusting well his body. All has gone well, his body has healed faster than expected even taking into account the enhanced regrowth properties his new tissue has, and the subject is regaining consciousness as we speak. He should be fully conscious and walking within the next few hours.
As he does not yet know the full limits of his new strength, he will be moved to a secure cell where rehabilitation can take place without posing a danger to the station.
The rehabilitation program he is to undergo will last around a month, and at the end of it, he will be fully in control of himself. But until then he will go through thorough testing so we may determine the exact effects the genetic enhancements and implants have had on all aspects of his physical capabilities such as speed, strength and agility, as well as his mental capabilities such as concentration, reaction time and situational and tactical awareness.
While the results are expected to be extremely high, the results we are most keen on finding out are those of his cell regeneration, and the subject's ability to repair his body at a cellular level, perhaps almost indefinitely, so we may make an informed guess as to what his expected life-span may be.
Until these tests are complete however, I will be unable to make any further log entries, however, once they are complete, I shall detail the exact findings of his various enhanced physical attributes.
[font=Fixedsys][color=#66FFFF]Log entry complete. Program closing...
[font=Fixedsys]It has been almost a month since the last entry, and the tests upon the subject are complete. He is now ready to return to active duty, and the business of being a Guildmaster.
The results from the physical tests are beyond what we could have hoped for, as while we could quite accurately anticipate his mental capabilities after receiving the implants, the cellular modification was pretty much unknown. Any previous estimates at his new physical attributes were nothing more than educated guessing, and we have proved that no matter how educated our guessing may be, we can still be proved wrong.
The subjects average results on every physical test we could perform were at least triple that of even the most gifted unenhanced human athlete in any field. It is clear that his muscle structure has slightly altered its self even from the tissue grown in the laboratories to better suit extreme physical endurance, and to give the subject the capability to almost ignore most forms of physical fatigue. For example, on an endurance test, he was able to run at an average speed of 30 miles per hour (the subject's average jogging speed post-enhancement) for 6 hours 47 minutes before fatigue set in and he was forced to stop. While his top speed at a sprint averaged at over 63 miles per hour.
However, on a slightly sadder note, it proved prudent to have him housed in a secure cell for the duration of his rehabilitation, as after only a few days, he was able to tear a securely bolted table from the floor and toss it at a member of the medical staff in a fit of rage, breaking both of the staff member's legs. Thankfully he has quickly learnt to control his new found strength.
The most exciting results however have come in our study of the subject's cell's abilities to repair themselves at a genetic level. We predict that, should he not fall in battle at any point, he should live well in excess of a millennia, possibly close to two millennia, though we cannot pinpoint an exact number, an educated guess would say somewhere in the region of 1,300 years to 1,700 years. But given his status and willingness to lead from the front, I doubt he will see those years out.
On another note, the specially built power armour arrived just before he was due to leave, and he was able to try it out on some of the testing equipment. It is safe to say, that with the vast amount of strength granted by the armour, as well as his physical enhancements, he would be able to quite literally bend the steel girders that this station is built on.
Overall, the process was a complete success, and we are now looking into possible application to various Core elite units.
