A thing popped in my mind. Why cant BHG use unlawful faction equipment?
Bounty hunters are supposed to be ex criminals, who have left their faction. Maybe long ago, but maybe quite recently. For the second case. If I am LR and leave them to become bounty hunter.. I assume I leave in my ship not walking over the space eh?
So when I join BHG I have to junk my ship and buy a new one? Why not just fly my own?

Because AP Manufacturing has an exclusive contract to supply the ships to the Bounty Hunters Guild.
Also, you get a new identity when you join the Guild and a clean slate - we don't want to see those old ships around, that might indicate that you're still considering your unlawful ways.

But one might get used to his old ship.. like for example posters of nude Carmen Electra glued to the walls and stuff like that.
