Angels do not need a seperate ship. As far as I'm concerned the Camera ship is perfect for them. The faction exists to help players. The faction has no existance in the storylines, or in RP in general I think.
And yes, you can help players out on any character. But flashing the Angels tag helps newbies who need assistance to find you.
And Angels will sometimes offer a new player the initial money for a Camara or similar. Experienced players in this module will know how to make money quick. Credits in themselves do not carry too much value...

1. Why do the Angels have loads of money? Why accept donations?
I really think that giving newbies money is a bad idea. Sometimes you can throw a nice 400k or a mil or two at someone who is doing really well, but the Angels must have enough money to buy the server by now. Why?
2. Why the need for a custom ship?
The Angels aren't really a proper faction, and there isn't a real RP push. You have the Camera ship, why not just use that?
Edit Question: Why the Restricted recruitment?
It doesn't take a compassionate, professional anzlagger to help people out. Can't ever be enough helpers, right?
I like this. It seems the "neutrals" in the game must all be nerfed. (The game which you reading also just lost, by the way.)
I suppose I should respond as faction leader, even though I would like to ignore it and get back to doing something productive.
I am glad you think that giving new players money is a bad idea. Feel free to refrain from doing so.
Currently, [The_Angels] hand out small donations, anywhere from 500k to five million or so, to help new players, who demonstrate RP capability, to get a transport, or a fighter.
Basically, it is a small helping hand. We are not handing out 900 million to a person who wants a Capital Armour VIII, or someone who just logged on and wants an Osiris.
The custom ship? No idea. I guess the use for it was to differentiate Angel players as an OoRP entity. That, and free up the Camera ship into a more RP role. As for me, I use a VHF of whatever area I am in, since it allows me to blend. People also use the Camera ship. Also, shiny ships with lights attract new players. (Saves us having to find them.)
Helping new players can be done by anyone. I think the Keepers ID should be free use as well. (If you do not get it, I will explain. Saves me typing.)
Although, I do like the crack at my nationality/regional area. Smooth.

Please, allow me to explain some things.
1. Well, I'll put this straight right off the bat. Most of the money was donated by members of the faction.
2. We aren't getting a custom ship.
3. We want the most active, helpful and Responsible people that we can get our hands on. It also has to be within a manageable size so that we can organize ourselves.
