Colonel Jack Aubrey here, we are sending this message to you because we are about to ask you for a great favor that could allow us to develop a long lasting alliance, possibly.We have recently managed to find some ancient ruins on Planet Primus, Omicron Kappa.We mobilized immediatly our research division when we heard that the ruins could be of Dom'Kavosh origin.The land team managed to find out that this ruins were stretching under the planet's surface under the form of deep caverns,that run several kilometers under the planet's surface.Since we didn't found anything special in there,we sealed the area.But our researchers found an idea zone for a possible future base, or headquarters.We know that the high ammount of radiation is very omni-present everywhere, but our lead researcher, doctor Dave Synk, managed to find a way to counter-attack these effects that could affect our future base on the planet, without suffering from a rather deadly ammount of radiation, some pillars mounted at the edge of the base could emit high ammounts of IRV energy, that could annihilate the effects of the planet's surface.We made a field test with a small IRV generator, and guess what? Radiation is actually killing the planet's vegetation, that is why Primus doesn't has any type of green vegetation, but if you expose on a short arch of time a piece of terrain to the IRV rays you could note that in about 2 months you could actually see that the pre-existing vegetation is growing up again.The IRV shield is the key part of all the complex that we want to construct, an ION generator will manage to power up the IRV emitter, the emissions from this device will cover an area of 5.2 kilometers around the base. Another interesting face is that we managed to find rich deposits of cobalt, titanium and large quantities of raw deuterium, currently processed by a high-end pump. The resources extracted from that zone are currently being delivered to the main zoner settlement on the Primus.

Primus was discovered by a privately financed deep space recon expedition in 490 A.S. First explorers were amazed by the exotic indigenous wildlife inhabiting the planet and the lack of any large plants. Air was fine for breathing and soon several thousands of colonists settled the planet. In 40 years many of the colonists died of unknown causes. The remaining colonists conducted research that revealed strong pockets of radiation deep inside the planet that were harmful to humans planetside. Transports were sent to Primus in hope to evacuate the planet's population before it was to late. However, the transports were destroyed by unknown alien ships before arriving at Primus. Afterwards, aliens (that were later called "Nomads") took the system under their control and Primus became unreachable for humans. Communication with planet was lost and after the only jump hole into Omicron Theta collapsed, inhabitants of Primus - if any of them survived - were completely isolated from Sirius sector.

Colonel Aubrey,

We appreciate the lengthy and well documented transmissions of your efforts. Unfortunately due to the fall of the Zoner Alliance there is no longer a unified voice for all Zoners. Regardless last time I checked Planet Primus was largely deserted and independent. I would redirect this message to whomever has taken residence on the planet. Much like it was in the olden days, Freeports and other Zoner bases are becoming individual societies that make decisions for themselves. Although I would like to think we all follow the underlying ideals set by the first Zoners.
