<< It's been a while since my last entry, the reason being that there was nothing really to report, I'm stuck in this system for the time being, but I've recieved News that "The Council" are planning to open a route through the minefield to the Orkney Jump Hole and build a base on the other side, their planning to call it "Reunion", anyway,they've told me my base of operations will be there, but only temporerily, as the GRN will be sweeping through Languedoc, and into Orkney soon anyway. >>
<< It now turns out that the information that i've been recieving about the opening of the mineway is now 13 days old, obviously the "Council's" message system is a bit out of date. Anyway, I now have permission to return to Sirius, my first assignment is to sweep the Orkney system for GRN ships that may have broke through. As "Orkney" is one of the 2 systems that border "Gallia", it must be patrolled often as the navy are always trying to get through and attack Bretonian vessels. >>
<< I arrived in Orkney this morning, and landed on the Council Base known as Reunion. I was told that I was being assigned a new mission instead of my current one. What I must do now is search for viable location for a new Council base, besides the currently selected areas. It's going to be pretty easy, since the Bretonian Government have given Council Members access to the Sirius Neural Net. So it will take several hours at the most to find a good location. >>
<< I have been unable to find a perfect planet for an alternate Council base, the closest I've come to finding one was Planet Elgin in the Inverness system, but its ice cold and would take too long to Terraform, plus its in Bretonian space, and Gallia's attempting to take control of that.
There has been some rumors about an old disused Jump Gate on the other side of the system, it is unknown how it got there or who built it (though it was definitely built by humans, since it isn't a nomad jump gate, or a jump hole) but it supposedly leads to an old mining system with a dockable planet in it, if I can get this Jump Gate working, I can create a safe haven for Council members who would rather not live in the crowded cities of the main Council escape system. I will now attempt to find this old Gate >>
