- that evening, we had a grand ceremony to officially introduce two more guards into our ranks
- a large gathering and an inspiring speech

- fully grown samples transported back from the Athena to the Persephones laboratories
- DNA split and energyinjection initiated

- serious accident aboard the Persephone happened at 07:32:2893pm
- so far 317 casualties, 73 missing and so far 52 dead - the captain and the bridgecrew survived unhurt due to the additional shielding of the bridge.

- reports indicate that there was a serious accident with the powercore - logfiles say that it must have been a feedback blast from the core research facility

The blast has destroyed 78% of the ships interior. most of the crew is either seriously hurt, missing or dead. The debris has been brought to Livadia shipyards. The powercore that was installed by zoner technicians back when the ship was recovered was completely destroyed - but it appears that the original alien powercore has survived the accident with only moderate damage and might be activated.

currently a quarantaine has been installed in sector E/7 of omicron-74 due to <strike><span style="font-size:10pt;line-height:100%]t81a87 9p1z98 4237 97</strike> (encryption engaged) [font=Lucida]from the experiment.

Families of those who perished in the accident will be notified.

further investigations have started.

- emergency patrols picked up the distress signal and rescued life pods and bridge crew

- despite the work on the crashsite - there is also good news. today two new initiates joined the ranks of the 74 guardians
- a wing of guards gathered together to welcome the newcomers into our ranks

- however it is but a short break from the salvage operations

- all the casualties are accounted for - and the recovery operation has finally finished.
- the Persephones front section, heat sinks and secondary weapon modules were utterly destroyed
- the Persephones mid section, the zoner reactor core was damaged beyond repair and had to be ejected into the sun.
- the Persephones aft section was still intact. Livadia engeneers managed to power the ancient core up again - and it appears to deliver a hundredfold of the standard Zoner Powercore.

- however after a test run, it had to be reduced to a lower output, because our shielding technologies wouldn t be sufficient to sheild the crew from the radiation.


- progress is good - and the chief engeneer expects the ship to be out of the drydock within the next 1 or 2 months.

- Internal systems of the refitted Persephone have been installed and tested.
- New experimental armour plating installed, but proved to be incompatible with previous armour platings. Experts still suggest to keep the new alloy, which is also more resistant to solar radiation.
- Outfitted the ship with a new capital class repair dock facility

- a tough decision had to be made. - but in the end, i decided against a new laboratory and research facility aboard the new ship. - experiments are hereby moved to the gravitaional domes of freeport 15

- current cost of the refit around 5 billion sirius credits - and an estimated 3 more billions to be expected for the final assembly
- i have sold part of my stock of Interspace shares for a good price to afford all that

undocked from Livadia in a shuttle today to make an outside inspection of the rebuild hull systems. so far everything looks promising. - unfortunately though the ship appears to register at more than 100.000 tons more mass. it must be that singularity reactor which we still can t understand how it works.

- it appears the computersystem is still bugged. we have powerfailures all across the ship with spikes blowing fuses up and other areas blacked out.

- that ship will be the cause of a heart attack for sure - piece of ancient junk

- on a happier note - the plans we made from the rebuilding of the Persephone after the accident were given to the Livadia design department which came up with a field refit for the aging Jinkusu class - enabling the installment of a new reactor system and more than twice as many weaponstations than before.

- the revised Juggernaut shall roll out soon.
