Im looking to create some new military characters (non official faction for now) and was just looking for some help as to RP and what characters to make.
Here's what i was thinking:
I want to make a cruiser commander and just a normal heavy fighter captain.
I was just looking for some help on RP, I am planning to RP these characters as part of the "Secondary Fleet" of the military i choose (i've read a few other posts and this seems to be the norm). is this acceptable?
I also need some help as to which military to use.
Whats the most interesting? I dont really like the Britonian Ships so i think thats out.
Liberty seems to be the easiest and i like the ships, but i was also thinking rheinland, thoughts? comments?

In short, getting a cruiser, roleplaying it well, being generally helpful and co-operative will endear you to the official faction. As [LN] leader, we really genuinely appreciate the people who become friendly indy navy faces.
As for roleplaying the character itself, yes, what you said there is more than acceptable.
Whichever military you choose to be a part of, I seriously suggest making contacts within the official faction. This will allow them to be able to discuss ideas with you, give you help with RP, and teaching you to fly the ship you own (particularly useful in Liberty should you get a cap, as Liberty caps require a fair degree of thought to fly effectively).
Everyone Seems to complain about something, I think i could deal with that.

Of course i would be friendly, I would always put on a smile, weather it is sitting in orbit having a drink chatting with other military or civilian pilots or blasting enemies. May be a little sadistic on the second part, but hey if you gotta do something you may as well have fun doing it.

I thought it might, i dont really think it would be a nice idea flying around as a cruiser "commander" trying to claim authority over say an official faction "captain" rank. My style of play and flying sits me as more of a support vessel anyway. So role playing as the "Secondary" or support fleet seems ideal to me.
And i am liking liberty at the moment, there seems to be the most action there with all of the smuggling and the size of it's official military (Primary Fleet) So id love to be in more communication with you.

Keep this attitude up and you'll have great success:)
Yes, Liberty is the most active place, but is also where you'll find most so-called "lolwhuts", simply because it's the starting place for everyone. Personally, I think that new players shouldn't be tossed immediatly in such a harsh environment, rather should start somewhere else., But that's just me...
Still, if you can look past the few drawbacks, you'll have tons of fun
I flew with Lieutentant Rivers yesterday morning and I found him to be very nice and a capable pilot. Even though he outranks me, he followed my orders to the letter such as they were.
