LPI William Nicholson reporting here. Another day another doughnut, the life of a police officer is never easy.
I was patroling the beat, sipping on some coffee and came upon ICO-LPC-Havok.
Bounty Hunters under contract by the LSF good guys these ICO or so we are lead to believe.
Rumors are told of how they were once allied to the Corsairs, that they betrayed the Corsairs
and became legal bounty hunters. Found their way into Liberty space and aligned with the Lawfulls.
By nothing more than a freak accident i dropped my glazed doughnut on the scan button...
This is what my black box recorded:
I couldn't believe my eyes, and i opened a private comms channel with said ICO Bounty Hunter.
While trying to understand why a Lawfull Bounty Hunter would have a Corsair weapons loadout things
turned for the worst, i ran out of coffee. Things didn't get any better trying to talk to this ICO
Bounty Hunter, reasoning and politeness we LPI are known for were hopeless. He turned hostile and made
a statement that chilled me to the bone...
Having almost wet myself, being out of coffee and dangerously low on doughnuts i went on my way.
Beware Liberty Lawfulls, it seems ICO makes allies of whoever suits their needs having no loyalty
to one side.

Message begins.
Me and Sniper will discuss about that matter in the next hours.
For the moment, I order all LSF ships to stop all interactions with the ICO until new orders given. You may not assist them in any fight and they may not assist you in any fight.
Consider their presence within liberty space undesirable. For the moment ignore them. No need to ask them to leave our space.
I suggest the ICO to stop putting their noses in our business!
They might be still working for the corsair as spies.

Live...
"This just in, we are going live to Alice Springs for an announcement by the controversial company ICO. They are expected to answer claims of being Corsair sympathizers."
The screen cuts to the view of a podium in front of a window looking out over the ICO compound. Several ships can be seen landed on the massive field as well as other faccilities. At the podium is a man dressed ina well cut suit with dark hair and a disapproving look on his face. Despite being obviously annoyed he spoke with a calmand clear voice.
"Today a member of the Liberty Police Initiative made accusations against ICO and attacked our credibility and our honor. This is nothing new from the Navy but it is the first time we have had such attaacks on our character leveled at us from the police."
The speaker was clearlly angered by this and it showed in the tone of his voice. Nevertheless he continued on, his voice clear and authoratative.
"Rumors have been spread about us by people who do not like us. Rumos that are based off of no hard evidence. These rumors are lies that have been spread by our enemies and our critics alike; lies that smear our good names and pervert the liberty that we all enjoy. These are lies that we can not tolerate.
"ICO has fought repeatedly to protect Liberty and its people from Corsair, Order, Rogue and Outlaws alike. Our members have lived and died along side LSF and SA personel on more occasions than I can remember. We fight for Liberty because this is our home. And, although we are in a business of security, we have never - not once - charged Liberty for our services, and this has come at great expense to ourselves.
"Let me remind you that we are a private security company. We offer protection for people, places and things in return for payment. We do not engage in purely offensive actions but we do, and have repeatedly, go out of our way to support our charges, weather it be pulling them out of a hostile area or helping them defend something of value. The only thing that we ask from Liberty is that they allow us to continue to protect our home.
"As of right now we are under contract by the Liberty Security Force and are on-call to them at a moments notise. We will stand ever ready to come to their support. Until that contract expires or is terminated we fallow the LSF's orders. But if Liberty does not want us... then we will have to find a new employer."
Abruptly the speaker nods then turns and stalks out of the view of the camera, still visibly angry. The screen transistions back to the news anchor as reporters ask a flurry of questions.
"Yes, a chiling report from the mercenary company based out of Alice Springs. I tell you, I don't know what this universe is coming to when people like that can run amock in civilized space. Let's once again go voer their list of autrocities..."
The news cast continued.

Aiden Sune marched into the briefing room where Damion Wolf and a number of other staffers waited. The second owner of ICO was absent at the moment - probably thowing very hevy things around in the gym to vet his own frustration. He tended to take things personally.
He mumbled profanity under his breath and pulled his jacket and tie off before flinging them both across the room. "There is your nessisary evil, Damion'buir. Why am I stuck with the PR jobs?"
Damion sat at the front desk with his chair leaned back and his feet on the table. He was clearly amused by all of this. "Because, out of all of us, you are the most tactful. BD would have shot them all."
"Yes, and we still have not gotten his bolter back from the space port impound."
Damion shrugged. Bolter rifles were rather obvious weapons to carry.
"That can be handled later. Right now we need to contact the LPI and SA directly. They have a problem with us and I want to find out what it is. I refuse to believe 'good Sumaratins' are now beign targetd as crimnals."
"That is how they see us, apparently. Can you believe these claims by the LPI? 'Corsair turncoats!' Feh! Why did we not just clear the air then and there? Tell them all what happened sothey will stop running our names through the mud?"
"Because that would not have stopped them at all. They are surats, Aiden. You know that.The media do not know the first thing about honor and whatever we say our opponants will use it against us anyway."
"Buir I know." He takes a deep breath and calms down. "The best ting we can do is give them as few things to complain about as we can and conduct ourselves aboe what their standards are. Those who know will see who and what we are clear as we see who our enemies are. Life is so much simpler when people are shooting at you."
Damion nodded grimly. It was true.

Subject: Officer Conduct
This letter is an official complaint about the conduct of certain members within the LPI, LSF and SA command structure in their dealings with ICO personnel. So as not to go over our anybodie's head, this is addressed specificly to LSF Sniper as our employer and de facto liason to the SA and LPI.
We are dissapointed at the personal attacks leveled at our company by certain unnamed members of the Liberty Community. Why there is such animocity toward our company is not known to us but it is wholly uncalled for. We are a lawful security firm that wants nothing more than to proect our home.
The manner in which the LPI officer conducted himself and presented his "fidings" to his higher-ups is nothing short of slander. He presented only what he thought could be used against us and manipulated our meaning through cercomstantial evidence that was taken out of context. It is interesting to note how he only recorded what was said after he threatoned a member of Loss Preventionn and used that for his soundbite to damage our reputation.
The reaction of the LSF staff, who'se names will not be announcd, were inapropreate and were taken without giving us the benefit of due process. The blind acceptance of the LPI officer's fabrication about us having any sort of alliance with the Corsaris and his own subsiquent accusatsions constitues gross negligence. I have come to expect far better from the LSF than rhetoric and lies.
If the LSF, or any other member of the Liberty Communithy, wishes to fidn out the facts or, at the very least, give us the benefit of due process that every citizen enjoys, then they can contact our PR department through secure, private lines. I believe that, once cooler heads have a chanse to look at the information, we will be able to handle this like adults and professionals.

Not that it's a big deal or anything but how come you want it moved into the RP section? If you want to reply then take a crack at it. If the mods get around to it they'll move it.
