Just reminding you that the event is today, 19.00 GMT+0. Sead, your help is likely to be needed on the Order side, since I didn't receive enough applications from the Order. Considering the fact that Hunter didn't warn me so far, I hope he'll be available.
Even if the =LSF= don't get more participants, I'll get on my =LSF= to balance it out. David, we're likely to need a transport. However, I can take the shared one, if you want to use your fighter.
I'll log on my Order|, if someone from the Order side can't attend to the event and the =LSF= have enough people.
The entire operation didn't work as planned. First of all, Commander Maersk's ship turned out to be malfunctioning. So, Commodore Taggart had to take the lead. With colonel Gunson and two ensigns they proceeded to the ambush point. Things went well so far, but then the worst part began. The Order operatives successfully disrupted the transport. The escorts consisted of two LSF vessels, but the reinforcements from San Diego showed up shortly. Lucky for the Order agents, LNS-Assault-1 couldn't use the weapons without the risk of friendly fire. The fight was long and tense, but the LSF pilots managed to get the upper hand. Eventually, Commodore and Colonel were the only ones who made it back home in their ships, the ensigns had to travel in the escape pods in the cargo hold. But from the intercepted transmissions they found out that the LSF have also lost something valuable...
Planet Toledo, Cape Hope, briefing room.
Lieutenant Scott learned that the strike team hadn't managed to take down that LSF transport. He was still sitting in the briefing room, when he suddenly got contacted. "Lieutenant, check the message on the channel 62-5".
[color=#FFFFFF]The transport =LSF.TS=Halifax proceeded to Willard through the Barrera Passage, but it was intercepted by the Order forces. Reinforcements arrived from San Diego shortly and the attack was repelled and the transport made it to Willard, escorted by LNS-Assault-1 and LNS-Zagam. Most of the cargo was delivered intact. No losses on our side.
However, the impact caused by disruptor explosion destroyed the power cell we had found: it fell into the ventilation shaft and was broken. The automated ventilation cleaning system jettissoned the obstacle to space. Our forces had to proceed further into the field, since the Order might have regrouped. Recovery teams will be sent to the area shortly.

//OORPly: kudos to all people involved. Thank you all for making the event happen. Although not everything went as we initially planned, we've found the solution. Stay tuned for more events and RP posts!
I have to clarify this: nobody won here. We just had to adjust the consequences due to... unexpected kind of interference. Further RP concerning the outcome of the event will be arranged later and it was agreed upon by =LSF= and Order| faction leaders.

Killjoy.
But really, read what erik said.
We won man, despite us two ensigns getting our butts kicked.
I have to say one more time, Jeremy: the outcome we came to had been neither predicted, not expected (it hadn't been written in "Possible event outcomes"), so we need to clarify some RP consequences of the event. That's why I intend to make some additional RP posts (with the help of Order|, of course). Eriksson, Omicron and Tommeh have also agreed to that.
You'll see the consequences soon enough in another thread (or in some other threads even).
By the way, I'm in both player factions, so my opinion on the matter is by no means biased.
We won man, despite us two ensigns getting our butts kicked.
Admit it. The Order onside of you is saying that!
In reality LSF won as they managed to disable 2 of our ships while we didn't any of theirs.
2 people interfered in event, and changed the final outcome without consulting/aproving with organizers.
One being indie and one faction member. Indie player was approved to watch and add some RP, but definately shouldn't have interfered in event outcome.
We had all scenarios set, who wins, when etc.
Now, interfering didn't caused some serious changes, although according to result of battle in California, Order was the one that should have lost, and with this interfering that wasn't case, but thanks to Catbert, he showed this interfering as not much of a value.
I wanted to say this; ONLY people who sign up for event, together with organizers have right to interfere with event outcome.
If some indie is allowed to join just for RP, then only that is expected from him. Nothing else.
In this case interfering didn't caused any major and sudden changes compared to what we planed, but I have seen fair share of people getting involved in events where they shouldn't and I will not allow anyone to repeat this in future, as it will have serious consequences.
This matter is closed now, and I don't want any discussions here about it. If something isn't clear PM me on skype for more details.
