Awesome.
We had to watch Gattaca for the same class. It was a good example of Det
''A Clockwork Orange'' is good example of classical conditioning too. Doctors used classical conditioning to cure him of his violent tendencies by connecting drug caused sickness with ultra violent scenes, after that every time when he thought about violence he felt sickness. image is more interesting i think
I've heard of "Clockwork Orange" and I have seen many, many references to it over the years, the recognizable one being of a person wearing a 'bowler' hat and having one eye done up with mascara and eyeliner.
I've even seen one episode of "the Simpsons" where Maggie appears dressed like that.
Guess I'll have to get my hands on a copy of it from somewhere to see what all the noise is about. :P
OK, Droogie-Speak aside, I'll say that anyone who hasn't yet seen it, should. Not just because it's an excellent piece of fimmaking (even though it is) but also because as dated as it appears, the flick is was so ahead of its time that it overall tone still resonates to this day on a societal level.
It was a movie that helped define the times at the time...& now, decades later, it still does. At the very least, it should be seen because of that. (& read the book too...the book is always better than the movie every single time)
BTW, for the non-droogies out there, allow me to translate my previous post:
