Real time Ping readings

What the title says really, would it be possible to have a command maybe added to the Icon of your game like -dx, that is -ping

so ingame i dont know maybe in the top left where not much happens, it will show you real time what your connection is like.

or would this be like handing a pistol to the server and letting it shoot itself?

What's the utility of it, when you just need to type /ping to see your ping? Sure, it's not in real time, but well, who cares?

I could see this being useful if you're in a combat situation and you notice yourself, or your opponent jumping. Rather than doing the thruster lock, and hurriedly typing /ping, you could just glance and see what's up.

If this is able to be implemented, it would be nice.

Costin, the lag indicator tells you TWO things. Yellow computer = you're lagging medium to hard. Red computer = you're lagging like hell and/or about to get a DC.

He means something like FRAPS' fps counter, except showing ping.
