As the title says, I'm looking for modellers to work on a small Freelancer mod project.
Preferred: textuing and FL modding experience. Otherwise, you should be eager to learn.
The basic idea of the mod is to be an expanded vanilla universe. The main goal for the first release is to diversify Sirius and make the houses more unique, by creating house-specific variants of vanilla freelancer ships. Most of this will be retexturing existing models, but at some stage we plan to make unique ships for house law / navy.
We do not initially plan on hosting a server, as the first version is intended to make single player more enjoyable and interesting after the conclusion of the campaign missions. Depending on the success of the mod, it might some day become a roleplay server.

Fixed:D
If you want to diversify it more, then you should start working on house bases that do not look like you can exchange parts from The Ring and transport them to Roppongi Station or Freeport 10 (as far as I remember, the ships in vanilla Freelancer house ships are already quite unique compared to the other house designs) - that would make more sense, right?;)
To explain in more detail, each faction - including corporations - would have their own shipline, even if it's just vanilla ships with new textures and/or decals. Also, transports with faction-specific cargo pods.
About the bases: their (re)design is something I'm also personally interested in. While we may not have completely custom bases, I was planning on expanding quite a few by adding extra 'bits' to make things a touch more individual. The reason all the bases have the same components, apart from original FL making laziness, is that it's smart to build stations which are modular. That means particular sections can be prefabricated and brought to the site, and it save a huge amount of time and money.
