*Opens eyes, his head aches, little body full of bruises and wounds... It hurts. Soon realizes that he is not alone,"the cage" is crowded with people he has never seen.*
*Black gates open wide, the cage moves. Warm light shines on his face.... The air smells... strange.*
These are his first memories. He has been a slave in Malta for as long as he can remember. Slaves called him Sol.
[color=orange]- Life as a Slave -
Don Leon bought him when he was still a child to help Don's servants in his villa. The Don was a very good man, and he treated his servants fairly. Sol has served him through his childhood. One day, he saved Leon's life from an assassin hired by a rival Don, by getting in the way of the bullet and Don. Luckily the wound was not severe and he survived. Don Leon was impressed.
As soon as Sol recovered, Don Leon had Sol trained to be his bodyguard. The Don had vast cardamine farms, and being a brave man himself, he liked to trade his own cardamine instead of hiring pilots. Sol accompanied his master on his voyages and learned to fly the Sabre. Over the years he has proved to be a competent fighter. For his fierceness in combat, Don leon gave him the name Fenrir.
After Leon had died of old age his son Rodrigo inherited him. He was nothing like his father. He liked to mess around, drink all day, waste a fortune on meaningless things and did nothing to replace the lost fortune. He hired mercenaries to traffic his cardamine. One day mercenaries, taking all the cardamine with them, dissapeared... They never came back.
Now Don Rodrigo had no cardamine, and no wealth to replant his farms. He had a bunch of slaves, an old villa, and empty farms, which he sold a great part to live in luxury. Being his clever self, he decided to do the only thing he knew... wager on a game of dice.
His opponent, Che Guevara.
- Xtreme Fighters -
Che Guevara is the Grandmaster of a private militia in Planet Malta which is nicknamed Xtreme Fighters, for their extreme, eccentric ways and love for fights. Che freed him and recruited him, thinking that his skill as a Sabre pilot will aid them.
To Sol's delight, he has learned that members of this militia mainly consisted of ex-slaves, just like him. Their love for space combat, and their fighting proves were not less than Sol's. He thought, XTF is the perfect place for him to belong to.
- Views on Slavery -
Sol doesn’t know where he came from, and wonders how his life would be had he not become a slave. He plans to buy a piece of land and plant cardamine one day, marry with his fiance, leave the warrior's life behind and raise his children in peace. However only the most influential and rich can own plantations on Malta, as Outcasts' whole economy depends on cardamine trade. So, he has to keep fighting and killing until he has enough money to buy their peaceful life.
He doesn’t agree with Maltese use of slave labor. The profit gained from cardamine trade could be used for advanced cultivation, or at least paying their workers. No one should be forced to work for another.
Sol still keeps in contact with slave communities formed secretly, helping them however he can. He also still shares their belief in the Sun God, which is a symbol of despair and hope for the slaves in Malta.
By initial appearance, Sol is an aloof fighter pilot, wearing weird looking goggles and carrying a piece of chain with him under his long, dark, tattered cape as a symbol of his slave past. He is tall like a giant and very strong because of his past working in cardamine plantations and training as a bodyguard.
- Personality and Appearance -
His brash and somewhat abrasive exterior conceals an emotional depth and a sense of compassion for the slaves in Malta which he considers as his own people. He also takes care of his adopted little brother, who he considers his only family.
His adopted brother, Joao Fenrir, lost his parents when he was still a baby. His parents were also bodyguards to Don Leon. Their names were Steve and Bella, slaves who fell in love. They lost their lives in Liberty following an ambush by Xenos. Sol took it upon himself to raise Steve's and Bella's child whom he considered true friends.
Sol can be eccentric sometimes, like seeing ghost cats. Flashbacks from his past sometimes appear on his mind, the death of the people who were close to him, the ones he can remember and the ones he cannot... flashbacks of hunting animal preys he never hunted in his life.
- Mr. Badguy -
Sol still flies the sabre he was piloting when he was a bodyguard to Don Leon. The sabre also resides a ghost cat, which appears from time to time, especially when Sol is drunk. Rumors say that he never cleaned his ship since it was bought, but this is not confirmed since the only living thing besides Sol which visited the ship is now a ghost cat. Sol likes to call his sabre "Mr. Badguy".
Mr. Badguy is equipped with a mix of Krakens and Wyrms, also two Debilitators. The setup is optimized for maximum efficiency of damage and energy use, also creates an illusion of spread fire to allow Sol adjust his aim on the move easily, which he needs so much psycologically.
