I am running win 7 on my laptop and Discovery's text seems to freak out on it... it is hard to describe but it gets all distorted and kind of flickers around the screen =/... Also I notice a lot of random flickering in general and it is playable but I rather get it fixed if anyone knows whats going on.
Don't know how to check the video card but it does have 2GBs of ram. Think it might just be onboard video... =/ the thing is everything else seems to be running fine execpt the text and a bit of flickering. Here is an example
Yeah had that issue for myself too...its an issue with Intel Onboard Chipsets i find.
I do remember that i did a driver update and the issue calmed down (still a little flickering here and there).
But that was on an old laptop of mine which ive since sold some time ago.
However on a Desktop PC i had this issue with the onboard graphics which was an Intel GMA 3100 but again i just got a GT 240 and used that as my graphics.
If you could give us more info on the onboard graphics it would be helpful:)
If your not sure about how to do so you could just search for "dxdiag" look up your display device on the display tab:)
Update graphics card drivers. Go to Start->Run and type dxdiag
Go to "Display" and tell us the Device Name. Total Approx Memory would be nice too.
That graphics glitching effect has a fancy name I can't think of right now but it usually has to do with lack of power from the videocard, usually from overheating or not enough graphics memory. Though as I said, sometimes it is driver-related.
