To: Liberty Government Subject: Independent Neural Division Conducting Cardamine Smuggling
Some evidence just hit my office. A legal entity provided me a proof of drug shipments to Sirius, by the IND. I am sure they are hard to catch red handed, but someone still managed to do it, and I can see their true faces now.
Is such dealing proper for a group, that is no longer part of Liberty's Corporations? Do they deserve the rights to smuggle materials out of Liberty to Rheinland and no longer supply Bonn Station?
I am asking those questions myself, and to think they once was working as an asset of Interspace Commerce! That is an insult to the tight reputation of our legal business! I now understand, that they might have shipped way more illegal substances into the heart of Liberty.
I hope this information will be valueable for swift action against this group, which disregards humanity in pursuit of personal gain.
While we would like to act upon the evidence you present, the legal foundations to do so are shakey at best. You cannot get much further away from the borders of the Republic than Tau 37, and as we cannot make our presence felt in such remote areas, any action we would take would be both inconsequential and, more importantly, subject to close legal scrutiny.
Of course, your transmission gives us a very good reason to be watchful of the IND while they traverse Liberty, and we will do exactly that. However, due to the location of this incident, it would simply be unwise to act upon it. As supporting evidence in a case to show consistency however, this information would be very useful.
Sorry for the bad news. If you wish to have actions against them taken, I suggest you contact the Independent Miners Guild.
Yours,
- Harrison McRemitz, Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs
We have just cross-referenced the images sent to us by yourself, and have discovered that we already have these images on file. Although they are marked as being from an extremely untrustworthy source. It's also worth noting that we recieved these files well over a year and a half ago, and had some dialogue with the IND regarding the situation at that time.
Due to the location the IND transport was allegedly found, and integrity of the course of the files, we decided that no further action need be taken. Our position remains the same.
Yours,
