Im attempting to remake and replace some sound files, besides saving em in .Wav format, what else do I need to do? I have Audacity, just give me the details on making em useable ingame.
You need to replace your files in Audio/Sounds. For example:
You want a sound named "Sound_1" to be sound of a Mortar (Idk how's the Mortar sound named). So, you just make it .wav and rename it to the name of the Mortar sound, then replace. I hope this helped.
Tried that, no sound was made. I have Star Wars: Empire @ War and when I combined the audio, and tested it, didnt work. are sound files on restrictions or something?
I may have found the problem. For some reason the files I made have silence at the end of em, Im removing the silence in hope-ing that it wont comeback.
Also, what sound files does the Storm Gunboat use?
The thing about FL audio files is that they're Mpeg layer 3 files (MP3) files in a .wav format/container, so they're a bit tricky to make unless you know how to. You can't just replace them as .wav/PCM, as you might expect.
Have a look at this - It's the tutorial I've been using for my (very) occasional FL sound modding and music replacement needs.
