[color=#FFFFFF]The sense of adventure Tavish had felt when he first arrived in Liberty had vanished and once again he caught himself thinking about his home.
His job, at first exciting and challenging, had become merely routine at this point and he had given up on trying to make Liberty a better place.
Still, he didn't show that, at least not in public...
All the effort he had put in his job seemed to have been fruitless and he never felt to have achieved something, even though he clocked more flight hours than most of the other officers.
It was now, that he could relate to the other officers who didn't care about the people, but rather about how to get one's paycheck with minimal effort.
This was no life for him though ... at least not yet.
What made it worse were the transports coming from Bretonia every day. He was eager to ask them questions about his former home and with each day his unrest grew.
It wasn't that he didn't like Liberty, but he just felt that he didn't belong there.
The reasons why he left his home were long a thing of the past and even though he wouldn't be able to go back to his old life he was confident that returning to Bretonia wouldn't be hard.
As he gazed up to the stars through the window of his flat he wondered how much longer he will look up to this very sky.
Sitting alone in his flat, Tavish thought about the story he told Concordia, the ever so curious zoner girl.
He was surprised, that after all those years, he still was filled with sadness when thinking about it.
Therefore he didn't quite tell her the truth. He wasn't quite sure if it was a good idea, but he picked up his PDA and chose an entry from 10 years ago.

Personal Log
We stopped at the leeds bar for a drink again, while we were waiting for our transport to be fully repaired.
There was some good looking lass on the table next to us. I couldn't help looking at her.
After 5 minutes of watching this strange dark-haired girl she gave me that weird look.
She probably knew I was looking at her the whole time. I already wanted to go over and talk to her, but my brother said that we didn't have any time left.
So we drank up and left for the transport.
Now I'm here in my room aboard the Fort William and can't stop thinking about her.
I better forget her. If I'm not concentrated, I won't surive the next encounter with those bloody pirates.
I won't see her again anyways.
End of Log
His face bearing no expression, Tavish skipped to the next entry.

Personal Log
I saw her again and guess what, we actually talked this time. Her name is Aileen.
I really can't believe it.
Since I have the next week off, I'll be spending it with her.
End of Log After pausing for a moment he reads the next one.
Date April 5th 808 AS
Personal Log
So far, this was the best week in my life. Tomorrow we'll be heading to the Taus for some ore from the IMG.
Aileen begs me to stay, but I can't just give up my job.
I'll be back in at most two weeks anyways. Then we can talk about getting a job on the planet.
The only thing that worries me is, that she will be completely alone all this time. Her parents are on a business trip.
I can't wait for these two weeks to pass.
End of Log
It takes several minutes before he has the will to open the final entry.

Personal Log
Dead... They say she's dead. The whole building collapsed yesterday.
My brother tells me to accept it, but I won't give up, I won't just accept her death like that. She has to be alive.
I should have saved her.
If only.. If only I had been here one day earlier...
End of Log Tavish tosses the PDA on the table and goes to bed hard-faced. He spends the rest of the night looking at the ceiling and thinking.
"Time to pay home a visit..."
It was time to leave. After running his hand around the liberators cockpit for one last time, Tavish left the LPI landing deck.
Even after all the times he found himself in an escape pod, he still loved the ship and missed it already.
The used griffin he got from a local ship dealer wasn't so bad though and so he was on his way to Newark, where he would meet up with Concordia.
There was one thing he didn't expect though. Instead of leaving Liberty on his own, he set out with a group of five people.
"So much for leaving silently without anyone noticing." he thought, "Should have kept silence about it from the beginning. At least the trip won't be boring".
Without any incidents the little group made it to New London, where Tavish wanted to find out if anybody knew what his brother was doing.
Knowing his brother all too well, he went to the bar.
After a short talk, the Bartender told him that Thomas was flying transports for Bowex now.
He wasn't in Bretonia though and won't be returning for the next few days. Knowing that at least his brother was still alive he went to Leeds, with the little convoy still following.
Leeds was a sad sight.
Having been in Liberty for years he didn't know that Bretonia had already lost half of the system.
He even saw Kusari forces advance as far as the Planet. Bidding goodbye to the group Tavish landed on the planet.
The district where he had spent his childhood was deserted. The inhabitants were all refugees now.
Already knowing what he'll find he entered the building where he had lived. The appartment of his parents was empty as expected. He went up to the roof and tried to make out the skyscrapers through the smog cloud.
Realizing how hard it would be to find them, he sat down, looking up to the brown sky.
