I will post further tutorials later about the new economy, along with a spreadsheet trading guide like I did for the last mod version. Today, I am unveiling a simulation of the new economy created using the software Personal Brain. The simulation is uploaded into the cloud, so it is accessible persistently online. It will also automatically reflect any changes that I make to the simulation. This guide does NOT include all of the possible trades in the new mod, nor is it intended to replace Freelancer Companion. This simulation does not show any numbers at all, neither profits nor rates of return. What it does is provide easy access to roughly the top 10% of transactions for each commodity, in an easily navigable presentation. The Gallic and Sirian economies are both represented, although they are separated into distinct trading systems within the simulation.
I am releasing this now so that anyone who wishes to can begin planning their trade routes before the mod's release, so you can start trading profitably from the very beginning.
Please note that you can minimize the text bar at the bottom by clicking on the arrow just above the box. You will also have to use the scroll bars to view all of the links in many cases. If you search for the term Sirius, in the text box you will find instructions about the simulation. After reading that, I suggest minimizing the text box for further use.
Use the Search box in the bottom left of the screen to search for specific bases or commodities.
I am also making available a basic template of the simulation. This template shows all the bases and commodities, but only shows where commodities are produced, not where they are consumed. By downloading the Personal Brain software from www.thebrain.com (this is free), and importing the template into it, you can then create your own custom trade routes without the distractions of routes that you are not interested in. This may be of use to trading factions who only want their own faction specific routes displayed. By opening an account at www.webbrain.com (also free) you can upload your brain and make it available to your faction members.

And now a word about Trade Rumors.
All of the mentions of trading or commodities in the Gallic core worlds are custom written, and based off of the best trade routes in Gallia. I do not plan to release any further tutorials or explanations about Gallic trading than what is in the simulation in the first post of this thread, but the rumors in Gallia can be relied on to provide accurate information about the best transactions in Gallia. If I forget to say this later when I write about trade in Sirius, none of the rules or methods applied to Sirian trade are true in Gallia. Gallia has an entirely different economy than Sirius. In some ways it's simpler, in other ways it's slightly more complicated. It largely depends on how you like to trade.
All of the rumors in Leeds, Newcastle, Edinburgh and Tau 31 have been completely rewritten to reflect the wars and system changes. This includes all references to commodities and trading.
Bretonia and Liberty's core systems have had all of their lore rumors updated and trade rumors rewritten (actually, I'm still waiting on New London; somebody poke Jammi or I'll have to do it myself and it won't make the first release). The vanilla rumors in Bretonia and Liberty that have been out of date for so long are now up to date with the current economy. This includes a full batch of new original rumors for Ontario. We are still working on original rumors for Pennsylvania as I write this and I'm not sure how much will be completed.
The point is that all references to trading and commodities in these systems will now be current and trustworthy. Many vanilla rumors reference local trade within the system or only one system jump away. Some of these were changed to refer to trade between the Houses, and many were left to refer to local trade - but are now accurate. In all cases, I have mentioned only the best possible trades between the bases in the rumor, insofar as the faction of the npc speaking the rumor is concerned.
In all cases, trade between Houses is a more profitable way to spend your time than trade within a House. The local trade references may be helpful if you want to move from one local base to another without flying empty.
Rheinland and Kusari's rumors remain mostly untouched. This is a project that I don't expect to have completed until 4.87.
To sum up, references to trade and commodities in the following systems will be trustworthy information to direct you to the best available trades:
All new Gallic core systems
Tau 31
Edinburgh
Leeds
Newcastle
Cambridge
New London (if Jammi shows up)
Manchester
Cortez
Magellan
California
Ontario
Alberta
Colorado
Galileo
Kepler
New York
Texas
Pennsylvania (partial)
Hudson
Bering
In addition, Aeternus Doleo updated the rumors on all the IMG bases, and Friday has done the same for GMG npcs throughout Kusari. Hawk updated Kreuzberg and Yanagi's Junker rumors, in addition to the Liberty Junkers.
On Saturday I will post a general trading tutorial and charts that demonstrate custom trade routes for corporate factions.
