Is a liner a transport? And if yes, how i'm suspected to roleplay a scientist with a mobile research lab now (big ship with max 2000 cargo hold)? Why a researcher now can trade? I'm confused.
Yes, liner is transporter now on IDs.
Had the same problem with a researcher character, that used an enterprise liner.
The old trade restriction and therefore no cargo limit gave the researcher ID many RP possibilites; the researcher ID is restricted enough, so this was a nice adjustment.
But I must admit it is just awesome that this ID allows the Corvo. One of the best ships I could imagine for a researcher (I use it myself now instead of the liner).
What i meant is; why not restrict trading and give more cargo instead? Scientists use goods for themselfs first of all. If you need to make money you search for sponsors or join a faction with trading units in it. At this point of time the ID allows the researchers to focus more on making money instead of interesting them in doing some roleplay.
And i now officialy have to say goodbye to the Geisha and can search again for a formidable ship. That sucks! -.-
Think of the Hegemon as a research station. There's plenty of space onboard, it has a big hangar (model-wise), robotic arms to manipulate hazardous materials, and inRP you can always refit the refinery into something else.
